American football does not play every team in a large League such as ours with 32 teams. 32 games would be too much on the players bodies.

It's lucky you don't play Rugby Football then.

The players over here play a 30 match league season plus anything up to 10 European Cup matches and 6 National Cup matches also if they are the best players up to 20 internationals a season and they do not wear padding.

That's only because the skirts and bag pipes would get in the way!

Nice try thomo.. I live in Scotland, but I am not Scottish.

But it is not just the Scots that play Rugby there is the English, the Welsh, the Irish, the French, the Italians, the Aussies, the Arggies, the Springboks and of course the All Blacks. I don't think you would want to face a 6ft 9inch 400 pound 2nd row man without pads.

Not at this age. Decades ago in a galaxy far away I started at Left Tackle and faced my share of 300-400 pound men.

The thing about padding and helmets is that it allows for full speed head on collisions without a thought of an unprotected head. They didn't diagnose concussions in my day either. Coach would come over and say, "Son you got your bell rung that's all." and give a little smelling salts so you could remember how legs and arms are suppose to work on a human and get back out there.

All that said I agree that Rugby is not Polo or cricket. In Europe you will find the real men playing Rugby. Then afterwards they put on skirts, blow in their bag pipes, and down a pint or 5.

As for not being Scottish, come on. Almost as bad as these youngsters in College trying not to be identified as a gender. Should we identify you as a toaster oven from no country when you live in Scotland and have the flag up by your user ID? Passionlad has to own Benny Hill so you have to own skirts on men and bag pipes.

Don't feel bad, look at what I have to own.
