Tried to make the last thread's title Ravens, but it autocorrected and put RavensFan Mock Drafts. Here's the official thread. (Btw, the Ravens have the best defense right now).

This a thread resurrected from the year 2000?

Well, the defense is basically a younger version of the 2000 defense, except there's not as many future Hall of Famers.

I'm really disappointed Matt Elam threw away his playing career for drugs. I believe that had he played "box safety" and coverage at nickel corner, he would have been a more productive player.

I believe that he was a capable athlete, but wasn't mentally or emotionally prepared to take advantage of his ability or opportunity.

At this point, I think the only guy you have on the 2-deep defense from Florida is McClellan.

It's funny to watch the ravens spend everything on defense and completely forgot that without Steve Smith their offense is gonna be as dynamic as a tetraplegic slug

I'm surprised by their draft as well. I would have belived that they'd add at least 1 RB.

It's gonna be a long year in Baltimore for those who love offensive football

The Ravens had massive needs in the front seven though as well as on offence. Their pass rush was woeful and the End play also needing upgrading so I can see why they went there. Corner has been a need and again they went there. Yes they need to give Flacco weapons but that D needed a lot as well.

I struggle to begin to understand this comparison therefore I assume you weren't old enough to actually see them play. Suffice to say they are basically the 2000 D minus 11 starters and the depth they had is an accurate summary.

Their defense was not the biggest issue last year. We're not talking about the Colts or the Saints. They lack blue chip players but they were able to keep games low scoring to help their weak offense and especially inexistant run game. Losing SSS and Aiken, and having cut forsett they are not going to be able to keep that defense off the field. It might be improved but they're not going to carry them like the Texans'D...
