The hot weeks of the regular season have just begun.

Redskins probably to be out of the hunt (H) for the wildcard (WC) games.

Some interesting NFC games left to watch this weekend:

Viking (9-2, Div.Lead.) at Falcons (7-4, WC)
Panthers (8-3, WC) at Saints (8-3, WC)
Eagles (10-1, Div.Lead.) at Seahawks (7-4, WC)
Lions (6-5, WC) at Ravens (afc)

Would surprise me if 10-6 would be enough this season for the Packers to get to the NFC WC games. Curious how the picture works out after week 13 in the books.

Montgomery on IR. Michael - Basketball - Clark on 53 roster. Good move to get some youngsters some experience and a rest for Ty to full heal up and to come back big next season. Sure, once GB is clearly out of the hunt, McCarthy gets back to Dontvanteholdontotheball Mays again to gain him some more experience too.

Everythings prepared for the weekend, beer is cold, chicken marinated, wife send to parents in law.

hello me, it's me again

good news, bad news

The good news is, gb won a game. bad news, likely gb wont get anything in reward for a Hundley release. curious who takes responsibility for that 3 yr investment flop.

My highlight this weekend, Taysom Hill at special teams for the Saints. He let the dogs out again, same entertaining will, fun and effort to watch as we saw in preseason of him when he was with the packers ... soon we will see fake punts he's involved in from Saints ... on top, he has that backup trait that spreads spark over a team when a leader went down ... still some regrets here on a poor 53 roster cut decision by TT/MM at season "rollover" ... no spark there on Hundley, who quarrels too much with himself that prevents him to unleash his football.

That's said, next one Cleveland. Some say last game for Hundley, not me. What a QB clash to come, Poverty vs. Misery, Cleveland has nothing to lose and they "grow" from game to game, and, they've got Josh -The Nose- Gordon back in the game. If Packers lose, and thats likely, "all is lost" and Hundley can go on trying to level *aehmhrumpf* value up ...

in case of not making the POs, nothing to blame on Hundley, poor management and coaching got him there. Almost unlikely, but if Packers make the 10-6 they wont get the wildcard because, Falcons will have one more W ... that one that Rodgers missed in Week 2

tbc...

But if Falcons implode and lose some games we're potentially back in the game.

I am btw honestly worried against Browns next week (even though I support both now so a Browns win would still be ok as well haha) but Hundley is really really bad. He waits for receivers to be open by a mile before trowing to them and this way he never releases in his first two progressions. Then he is on the run again and deciding to just run out of bounds....

Not his fault that he is no good like you said, just 'our' fault thinking we had a good back-up. Over the summer indeed there was talk that he would be a valuable trade option....ahahhahahaha not anymore

True that. Who would have ever thought seeing the Pack as a run-first team

Well, they may be not elite RB but if they can help to a l t e r pass and run game when the team is full capacity it will be a huge improvement.

And no, Ty Montgomery is not an RB. When you got more catching yards than rushing yards you are a WR.

And I am pretty sure he will be cut at the end of the season.

As expected, at times an unbearable game to watch.

That defense
That 4th and out
That Hundley

but finally ... gb found a proper way to leave the field quickly

lets go on and have some fun with fantasy football:

[1]
If Rodgers is "ready" he will/must play next sunday to increase GB chance to W and stay in the hunt. Personally, I dont like that situation, because i can not believe that shoulder is fully recovered. And wouldnt a drop back of his health just raise the chance for an earlier carrier end than hoped?

[2]
Hundley proved that Adams is a first class receiver. He has that ability to separate himself from a defender in a way that he can produces yrds even after catch. Not that easy under Hundley. Wouldnt it make sense for Ted to extend his (Adams') contract rather sooner than later?

[3]
What about Hundley himself, stick with him or let him go to get that additional Mr. Irrelevant compensatory pick

What is that thing about Dom Capers? Is that defense really that bad because of lack of proper coordination?

I actually think it's Ted Thompson that needs to go if the Packers are ever going to capitalise on Rodgers best years.

At 64 Thompson must be at least thinking of retirement? It does appear from the outside that they've been constantly promoting Eliot Wolf to one day take over, it would be upsetting if he goes to another franchise and does well as a GM without having the chance in Green Bay.

If i had to pick one to be replaced though i'd probably go Capers, tbere's a lot of good he has done that we don't noice a lot of the time but so much is too obvious to opponents and i don't think the D should be as confused as much as they are.

Moaning aside i was jumping with excitement when that game ended, what a finish and Hundley does have mental toughness at a very high level, all that pressure and he does it twice in a row

Even though I complain about Hundley loads we got to remember what stinks Goff and Wentz (end of season) were. You gotta cut the kid some slack.

I think the problem was that he was so hyped up by the organisation that everyone assummed the show would roll on and it turned into a giant turd instead.
