hm, maybe you're right.
Another story: New GM Brian Gutekunst is about to hire his good friend Milt Hendrickson (national scout from Ravens) as Assistant GM. Hiring for personal reasons? However, it leaves bad taste. |

I liked the Reggie Mckenzie idea the internet was touting, i don't think the Ravens dude is a bad thing though, they need more people after everyone left for Cleveland. I know what you mean about bad taste though, there's the worry he's hired because of friendship over ability, i'm confident their familiarity just means that BG knows he's good and trusts him

I think most GM's pick their staff this way as HC do when they s e l e c t their staff. Last edited on 2018-12-17 10:26:46 by oakbark |

I dont know what to take from this little meaningless game against the Jets. It was highly entertaining, but you could see again why the Packers are where they are. The Jets offense outplayed the Packers defense. Rodgers missed the throws that Darnold made. I found Jamaal Williams did a great job and contributed big to the win.
But when they took the comeback to the 1 yard line in te 4th Qrt, i thought: OK, well done. You still have it. Now drop it and safe a good draft spot. Here is a bold prediction: The next time the Packers attend to the Playoffs, Aaron Rodger's retirement took place long time ago. Sure, I hope that wont fullfill itself, but the Packers (front office) have a lot of work to do to create a modern dominant offense and defense. |

coming in peace if you guys could compile the short list for the coaching search, what would it look like? are there any candidates that are tailor made to work with Rodgers? (I'd wanna get Bruce Arians out of retirement to be honest Since a cpl of first row candidates refused to HC in GB already, every week this list gets longer and longer. Cant count how many of the second tier prospects they have invited for interviews now. LOL. This franchise is in trouble |

Matt leWho?
Edit: LaFleurope entered NFL in 2008 with the Houston Texans as "Offensive quality control coach", climbed the ladder constantly 'till he got the job as a play calling OC with the Titans in 2018. Most of the Titans fan base seem to be unhappy with his leave. Also, MLF seems to have good reputation, and is well connected to coaches and players he has worked with. At the GB press conference he showed, that he can talk ... time will tell if he can HC. Think its a good hire besides the fact he's got no HC exp. Also GB proved themself to have the guts to risk something with that hire, and that's a good thing imo. Only thing is, his wife looked little pissed in the introductory press conference. Think she imagined another place to be than frozen Tundra Last edited on 2019-01-10 14:03:37 by Mücke |
