Okay, my Morale his finally back to 100%. It took 1 training session with Swimming Pool, 5 daily updates, 2 SuperCup playoffs wins and one wildcard playoff win.

While your wins are not really helpers due your high ELO...1 week to recover from a loss you were expected to win...sounds not that bad

The thing is that if you based expectations on the current strength of both teams I'm not sure Steve should have been expected to win.

Both teams had the same league schedule and both finished 12-4 in the Elite, going 1-1 against each other.

The fact that 2, 3 or 5 seasons ago Steve's team was much better than the Marauders does not mean that this season the 2 teams aren't of pretty much equal strength.

It should not take a week to recover from a loss against a team who's strength is fairly similar to ours.

I was 0 for 9 against him in meaningful games historically (slight edge in friendlies). Quite a few beatdowns were recent enough (including a 10-30 game earlier this season), so I would say the expectation going in VERY much should have been a W for Steve ... I just about fell out of my chair when I saw the results. His players are still quite far ahead of me, at least on paper. (I've been scouting a bit heh)

I've picked up ~110 ELO in a very short period ... so it does seem to move fairly quickly upwards, at least from what I can see? I guess the question for me would be, if ELO bloat ends up with really rough morale hits handed out, does that encourage full scale rebuilding mode in order to move it back down, if/when a team runs into retirement problems? (And if so, not to sound like an ass, but should Pete even care, or does that just fall under bad planning / management?)

Just my 2 cents,
