This topic is not about "is karma good idea or not". Please go to an old topic if you want to reopen this debate.
So Karma is there but not effective since a couple of seasons now. The question is will it be applied anytime soon? Indeed, some managers (including me) are running a roster able to go well with Karma. That means with good players at all the positions in order to propose et diversified game. But this strategy is expensive. If Karma never happens, we better decide to pick between RBs and FBs, between having 4 strong WRs or 2 WRs and 2 TE like many teams do. The impact on the salary would be huge. So Pete could you clarify the future of Karma please? It would be helpful to pick a long time strategy for me and I guess for many other managers. Thank you |

Its not exactly karma, but the lopsided penalty has been increased in the friendly engine. From what I feel from maximize snaps, just pass ,just one formation friendlies, the impact is huge. Sacks and Interceptions are way up, completion percentage is down, so imo a very good change.
So my interpretion is that Pete is steadily slowly slowly optimizing the engine to make predictable playcalling less successful. If you call it karma (don't like the word) lopsided penalty or whatever. And let us be patient. I can imagine that changes on the engine are tricky. If you improve on one end, it could be a disaster on the other end. So I'd rather wait a year longer to get a well tested change. However, there will be complaining, regardless how near the change would get to reality And I agree, as long term roster planning is one of the fun parts of the game, a roadmap from Steve, what he would like to do with the engine, would be nice. |

Exactly, these are two different things. karma itself is not implemented, and not active. My work was (and still is) focusing on the lopsided tactics prediction.

Party of the Democratic Karma (Spanish: Partido del Karma Democrático) is a Spanish joke party founded by the publishers of the magazine Karma dice (Karma says), a satirical publication.
The party's motto is "Karma: the useless vote. The vote just like you." (Spanish: "PKD: el voto inútil. El voto como tú.") They support absurd proposals like paying civil servants with corticoles (vouchers from the general store El Corte Inglés redeemable for school supplies), building in flower pots, and promising to corrupt themselves as much as possible. Their magazine and party are based in the Basque Country, and they reflect a reaction to their fellow Basque citizens' perceived overly serious approach to life. In the Basque elections in 2001 the party received the sixth most votes. |
