The Media Center just came up to simulate how the NFL as an organization negotiates national and international TV contracts and then with success or lack of redistributes to each franchise their share of revenue. Those franchises had to invest in an organizational infrastructure first to coordinate and maximize the revenue generating effort like a commissioner and staff, etc. Media Center is a great sim of that business aspect in my opinion.
In the same spirit, if it isn't a difficult programming exorcise, I'd like to see us try to mirror sponsors. The most common big sponsorship in professional sports, at least in the U.S., is that the stadium is named after the sponsor. My suggestion is that each off season if we pick a sponsor the stadium name locks for the season as the sponsor name. |
