I got my first choice in the 1st round, although I would've been happy with any of my top 5 choices. I got Rayhan Abdel, a great 19 year old DE with 50 strength, 47 speed, a trait and good experience. I really needed help here, as that position is aging fast. Was tempted to take that physical freak QB which I also had a need for, but I think I made the right choice for me.

In the 2nd round I got my #2 choice, a TE that will probably be a WR for me. Fast and only yellow on strength. I'll find a spot for him, especially since a top WR is retiring, and another will soon. I tried to get a 50 intelligence QB on my top choice, but someone beat me to it.

I gambled a bit in the 3rd round, going for a high intelligence guy. Both speed and strength capped low.

3rd round looks like very slim pickings. The only good thing is that at 24 I'll avoid the gunners, punters and KRs. Will probably end up with a QB which isn't going to attract much interest on the transfer market.

With the 96th pick, it's a bit difficult to avoid anything.
And this season Mister Irrelevant is a Punter with strength red capped at 41.6.
He will be looking for a new home very quickly and if not, he will be our new water boy.

I had specific needs after retirement bulletin, so I've changed my draft strategy few hours before 1st Draft round.

My veteran (and most longeve) OT will leave at the end of the season, so in the first round I've gone for a double trait OL, that's why I've draft the n°1 of my personal list.

Three starting receivers (2 WRs and a TE) will leave the team at the end of the season. I have good replacements already, but I wanted to be prepared for the next seasons where another couple of them will hit 30+ yo.
That's why in later rounds I've looked for speedsters with traits and I've drafted a decent WR and a decent TE with uncapped stats.

AC West division is a well balanced bunch of teams.
Melittlemenon are still a step above others, while the other three teams (Kids, Doleys and Lakers) are more or less at the same level.

I have a 0-9 record against Lions1934 so far and I don't see Lakers changing this trend anytime soon.
I think he will easily take the lead of the division, while the other three will be competing for the second place.

Lakers have an average schedule diffculty with few matches against top teams and most even matches, so it's all on our shoulders.

First objective is to remain in 1.1.
Second one : keep the 8-8 line
Anything more will be an unexpected plus.

I wish good luck to everyone. Have fun !!!

EDIT : I cut by mistake the whole first part with draft recap.

Not the disaster I thought in the 3rd round. Completely uncapped OL who may stick around for a few seasons or may hit the transfer market but either way a much better outcome than I thought.

That 0-9 record is very misleading as 3 or 4 of them could easily have gone the other way and the first games were when you were a relative newbie. It'll be 2-9 at the end of this season.
I'm also not sure that I'm that much better than the others in the division, I really expect this to be a very close finish.

Who cares about the draft when you can steal 4.5 rated cornerbacks for 2.5m.

Waiting for the game to start, my favourites for the season :

AC
4 clear favourites for me : Chester Ducks, Free Agent MAscot, Green Mark Packers, Melittlemenon Thepitchhitchin
A group of teams for the two play-off spots, led by WV Bobcats, Touch-it-Down 65ers, Aspern Lions and Motol Ducks. A bunch of other teams are right behind them, so it's difficult to make any easy call.

NC
4 teams with a small advantage : Vamosahi, BobBoy Magpies, Electric and Wildcats. Other teams on the hunt : Lakefield Vikings, Berlin Iron Tigers, Gunnison Ghosts, SpringHeel Jacks
NC North seems the most equilibrated division and hard for me to choose one. My preferred are Taints.

Good season 26, Admirals !!!

My goals for this season:

Stay out of the bottom 8 teams.
win 6 games
move up to 3rd place in division
Have a point differential of around -120 to -160 (need more close games than last year)

These goals were made before I saw my schedule after the season rollover and 1 or 2 other developments recently, so it looks to be tougher, but I'll stick to it.

Good luck to everyone!

Well done to the Kids but that was an annoying game for me. First pass was a pick 6, second pass was a sack. got back in the game in the 4th quarter and finished 5 yards short of winning. Ho hum.
