Hello and welcome to Thunder 1.1's Pre-Season Show for Season 26.

This is Bova bringing you the insights of our regular pundits Cheesehead, jetto, passionatelad and yours truly.

Firstly we go to jetto for his look at AC East.

The AC East teams are

Hedgehogs Oberammergau are managed by Randolph_Giebler
1.1 Record - 1 season 3-13
ELO Score: 678

Kalapana Wild Thangs are managed by stizz
1.1 Record - 21 seasons 222-114
Divisional Titles - NC East 3 (Seasons 8, 11, 14) AC East 3 (Seasons 16, 17, 24, 25)
Thunder Bowls - 1 - 1 loss
Elite League Record - 1 season 4-12
ELO Score: 938

LM Pirates are managed by Fijer
1.1 Record - 6 seasons 54-42
Divisional Titles - AC East 1 (Season 23)
ELO Score: 800

true winners home are managed by retry
1.1 Record - 8 seasons 50-78
ELO Score: 672

and jetto's view is

Last season saw the Kalapana Wild Thangs win the AC East quite easily. They were also in the mix to compete for the bowl, but just lost the Divisional Playoffs against Budapest Wolves after a Wildcard Bye. This season the Kalapana Wild Thangs are again the favourites to win the division. It will be interesting to see if they now can compete for the bowl as this homegrown team should just be better than last years.
The LM Pirates should be the runner up at this point. But actually they also know who to win a Division (see Season 23) so maybe they can get a bit closer to the Kalapana Wild Thangs.
The other two team are true winners home and Hedgehogs Oberammergau. Twh only avoided direct relegation by "winning“ in point difference, which is not a good sign. Actually they are a team hard to figure out as they are paying wages to both players and coaches like somebody who should not only win 2 games like last season.
Hedgehogs Oberammergau are returning from 2.X level to compete again in 1.1. Hopefully they can avoid relegation this time.

1. Kalapana Wild Thangs
2. LM Pirate
3. Hedgehogs Oberammergau
4. true winners home

Bova's view.
stizz's team should keep the divisional title, but he should not take it lightly as Fijer appears to have turned the corner to make life difficult for him.
The Hedgehogs will not be an easy roadkill like they were a couple of seasons ago, Randolph has improved them overall, but still has a little way to go before they are really competitive.
true winners home have got to sort their financial situation out and decide what they are going to do with the development of the team, it is sad to see them in this situation, but if the right decisions are made the only way is up.

Welcomeback and it's over to passionatelad for the AC North preview.

The AC North teams are

Budapest Wolves are managed by janos
1.1 Record - 21 seasons 244-94
Divisional Titles - AC South 3 (Seasons 13,15,16) NC East 2 (Season 18,20)
AC North 3 (Seasons 22,23,25)
Thunder Bowls - 3 - 1 win 2 losses
Elite League Record - 3 seasons 8-40
ELO Score: 899

The SQUALES of Beach are managed by SSNIPER
1.1 Record - 7 seasons 48-64
ELO Score: 745

UNTOUCHABLES are managed by nicky1974
1.1 Record - 4 seasons 22-42
ELO Score: 722

Wolflings are managed by Wolfling
1.1 Record - 4 seasons 37-27
Divisional Titles - AC North 1 (Season 24)
ELO Score: 810

and pasionatelad's view is

Budapest Wolves will be expected to take the division again and make a playoff run so they will be one to watch this season.
The SQUALES of Beach and UNTOUCHABLES are two similar sides, both will need to step up if they are to take that all important second spot in the division away from Wolflings.
Wolflings are expected to take the second spot in the league, but may have to keep an eye over his shoulder if the other two sides behind him progress.

1. Budapest Wolves
2. Wolflings
3. The SQUALES of beach
4. UNTOUCHABLES

Bova's view

This division has the makings to being the tightest division in the league. All four teams have heavily invested in experience and they wage bills show us that. janos' experience should just give him the edge, but SSNIPER, Wolfling and nicky1974 will all be out to prove that they really can mix it for the division title and playoff places.

Here we go with Cheeseheaad's look at AC South.

The AC South teams are

Baltimore Ravens are managed by RavensFan
1.1 Record - Rookie Season
ELO Score: 625

Deflators are managed by IMGregory
1.1 Record - 5 seasons 56-24
Divisional Titles - AC West 2 (Season 23, 24)
Thunder Bowls - 2 - 2 losses
Elite League Record - 2 season 8-24
ELO Score: 958

Flow Gaming are managed by microlol
1.1 Record - 13 seasons 118-90
Divisional Titles - AC North 5 (Seasons 15-20)
ELO Score: 786

Xu Da are managed by Hongwu
1.1 Record - 12 seasons 101-91
Divisional Titles - AC South 5 (Seasons 17-20, 22)
ELO Score: 732

and Cheesehead's view is

Deflators is back from their season in Elite and there is nothing here that will stop him from taking the divisional title once more. Flow Gaming had a coming of age season last year and he will build on that. Xu Da will still remain the odd one out in this division while Baltimore Ravens will only be focused on not getting relegated.

1. Deflators
2. Flow Gaming
3. Xu Da
4. Baltimore Ravens

Bova's view
IMGregory has to remain on the top of his game if he wants to get straight back to the Elite, any slip up could be costly. microlol and Hongwu should learn from Deflators and try their best to close the gap. As Cheesehead said RavensFan should use this season to learn as much as he can so he can come back stronger.

Welcome back to my look at AC West and the AC Conference.

The AC West teams are

Berlin Raptors are managed by morion89
1.1 Record - Rookie Season
ELO Score: 581

Juggernaut are managed by inranger
1.1 Record - Rookie Season
ELO Score: 636

Marion Knuckleheads are managed by Davecool
1.1 Record - 1 season 0-16
ELO Score: 645

Severnside Cardinals are managed by passionatelad
1.1 Record - 16 seasons 145-111
Divisional Titles - AC West 5 (Seasons 15, 17, 18, 20, 25)
ELO Score: 832

Does invest pay off, well passionatelad will have to wait to the play offs to find out. The division, like last season, is there for him to lose it, so all his hard work has to pay off on his non-divisional matches.
Marion Knuckleheads have to do better than last time, but I am sure that Juggernaut will give them a run for second place.
Berlin Raptors are here before their time and should learn as much as they can from this season to better prepare them in the future.

1. Severnside Cardinals
2. Marion Knuckleheads
3. Juggernaut
4. Berlin Raptors

AC Conference

The return of Deflators to this conference has just made it a bit harder for the others to get to Thunder Bowl 26. The other likely candidates for the play offs Kalapana Wild Things and Severnside Cardinals should have a relatively easy ride while the whole of AC North will probably give us the other three remaining play off spots.
The obvious dark horses for play off spots outside AC North are LM Pirates, Flow Gaming and Xu Da so the others should be wary of these teams.
To the rest of the conference, I say, get on developing your squads and playbooks so you can prove me and the rest of the pundits wrong.

Okay welcome back as we move into the NC Conference and jetto's look at NC East.

The NC East teams are

Bathing Apes are manged by 90210
1.1 Record - 2 seasons 18-14
ELO Score: 734

Die Verdammten are managed by Lawinenhund
1.1 Record - 15 seasons 171-69
Divisional Titles - AC East 1 (Season 19) NC East 4 (Seasons 21-23, 25)
Thunder Bowls - 2 - 1 win 1 loss
Elite League Record - 2 season 6-26
ELO Score: 866

Jinonice Forever are managed by Finglow
1.1 Record -Rookie Season
ELO Score: 604

Thunder Bolts managed by wsfjlt
1.1 Record - 2 seasons 13-19
ELO Score: 685

and jetto's view is

Well, this is gonna be a very interesting fight for the division. Long time team Die Verdammten won the NC East last season, but very close to the Bathing Apes – both advanced to the Playoffs and unfortunately already lost in the Wildcard rounds. Bathing Apes made a big step last season and if they are able to improve their team again I think they could already compete with DV for the crown.
Thunder Bolts will play their third (if I used my fingers correctly) season in the 1.1. but it's hard to see where they are going. Last season saw them loosing on purpose to get a relegation match with additional income. So from a commentator's perspective it's just cloudy around this team. If the go full strength they maybe could upset DV or Bathing Apes.
New to this division are Jinonice Forever – just promoted from 2.X Level. Right now they seem to be building a healthy team. I think they won't compete for much wins, but actually they should avoid at least direct relegation.

1. Bathing Apes
2. Die Verdammten
3. Thunder Bolts
4. Jinonice Forever

Bova's view
DV should again win this divisional title as this rebuilt team is keeping it's development curve just ahead of the others. Bathing Apes will make the gap closer if they are more consistent, but other teams in the Conference are at a similar level. Finglow's new team should settle in well as they appear to be one of the more rounded of the promoted teams and as to Thunder Bolts, as jetto said, if they play to their strengths they could give DV a run for their money, but if they do what they did last season well....

Here we are again and over to passionatelad's look at NC North.

The NC North teams are

Amersfoort Alligators are managed by Cheesehead
1.1 Record - 7 seasons 74-38
Divisional Tiltles - NC North 5 (Season 21-25)
ELO Score: 894

Krugodam Stompers are managed by krugodam
1.1 Record - 2 seasons 12-20
ELO Score: 654
aka: Befuddled Bubble Bobbles

Harlingen Whalers are managed by Tabula Rasa
1.1 Record - Rookie Season
ELO Score: 589

Spitting Llamas are managed by Herrpetllamas
1.1 Record - 1 season 4-12
ELO Score: 612

and passionatelad's view is

Amersfoort Alligators should have this division wrapped up. Ahead of everyone else's progress or it'll be quite the shock if it is otherwise.
Befuddled Bubble Bobbles and Spitting Llamas are more of a long shot for the Wild Card playoff spot. They both would have a greater chance if they have progressed enough during this off season.
Spitting Llamas key will be at QB and will need to develope there to take the second place spot.
Harlingen Whalers have came up way to soon. I can only see relegation this season. Will the Manager have enough patience to see out this season.

1. Amersfoort Alligators
2. Befuddled Bubble Bobbles
3. Spitting Llamas
4. Harlingen Whalers

Bova's view
If Cheesehead does not win this division this season he will be sent to Trump Tower for diplomatic training instead. Will krugodam or the high octane passing game of Spitting Llamas close the gap on the Alligators, maybe not this season, but write them off at your peril. The Whalers, like a few of the other new teams, should use this season to learn as much as they can so they can come back stronger in the future.

Right, now for Cheesehead's look at NC South.

The NC South teams are

Basterds are managed by jetto
1.1 Record - 7 seasons 72-40
Thunder Bowls - 1 - 1 win
Elite League Record - 1 season 5-11
ELO Score: 954

Inbhir Narann are managed by Bovakian
1.1 Record - 7 seasons 88-24
Divisional Titles - AC West 3 (seasons 19, 21, 22)
Thunder Bowls - 1 - 1 loss
Elite League Record - 1 season 4-12
ELO Score: 918

Osler Rebels are managed by Griswold
1.1 Record - 2 seasons 13-19
ELO Score: 735

Totoras Patriots are managed by JonatanRiver
1.1 Record - 20 seasons 163-157
Divisional Titles - NC South 3 (seasons 18-20)
ELO Score: 818

and Cheesehead's view is

Inbhir Narann had a suprising 10-6 season last year and all the noises coming from them is that this year might be more of the same. That leaves the door wide open for Basterds to reclaim their divisional title (although they do play their bogey team Amersfoort Alligators ). Behind these two there will be an interesting fight between the Patriots and the improving Osler Rebels although I still feel that the Patriots have enough in the tank to stay ahead...for now.

1. Basterds
2. Inbhir Narann
3. Totoras Patriots
4. Osler Rebels

Bova's view
jetto's Basterds are odds on favourites for this division, unless he decides to do lots of changes. The Patriots and the Rebels will both be aiming for break even seasons or better. As for my lot, with the wage bill cut in half and the average age well below 25, it is training, training and more training with maybe my youngsters gaining a lot more experience. As usual my target is not to have a losing season, but this could be quite difficult with Patriots and Rebels improvement.

Now for the final part of the show and my look at NC West and NC Conference.

The NC West teams are

Flerschem Flieger are managed by eiskomitee
1.1 Record - 5 seasons 49-31
Thunder Bowls - 1 - 1 loss
Elite League Record - 1 season 1-15
ELO Score: 888

Istanbul Sultans are managed by aydin.guclu
1.1 Record - 1 season 4-12
ELO Score: 612

PGI Andorre Solutions are managed by fonset
1.1 Record - 4 seasons 12-52
ELO Score: 682

The Green Machine are managed by jggreen
1.1 Record - 2 seasons 36-12
Divisional Titles - NC West 2 (Season 24, 25)
ELO Score: 848

and my view is

Will jggreen's playbook keep his team going the right way, Thunder Bowl 26, or will his large wage bill weigh him down. The Machine have all the strength and talent to go all the way so they is no leeway for error this time around. Flieger will still run them close, but estee will also be looking over his shoulder in case the Sultans or Solutions have suddenly found their direction.

1. The Green Machine
2. Flerschem Flieger
3. PGI Andorre Solutions
4. Istanbul Sultans

NC Conference
Last season The Green Machine were the team of this conference until they blew it in the play offs. This season, with Basterds back and others improving, the play off picture is not as clear.
I see The Green Machine, Basterds and Alligators as almost definately reaching the play offs. DV are slightly favoured from the East as are Flieger from the West, that leaves Apes, Bolts, Patriots and Rebels going after the last spot.
You all wondering about Narann??? well all I can say is that I will wait and see how the season pans out.

Thunder Bowl 26???
Deflators v Basterds!!!!

Good luck to you all this season. Go out and fight , but also have fun
