I have this player Filippo Friedman filippofriedman and was trying to negotiate a new contract with him for this season and the next 2.
The salary estimation by skills is $ 45.941,00. Tried the 91% rule (always going a little bit above the calculation) and didn't work. Tried higher salaries. Didn't go. Then I offered a salary above the estimation and even then he refused my offer! He wanted something like $ 70.000,00 or $ 80.000,00, something like that. Now I have already spent my 5 tries and am trying to sell the player. But I don't want to sell him! I want to keep him, but I'm out of chances to offer new deals. What happened? Really, if that can be fixed, I don't really want to sell him, but I had no other option. Didn't paste the negotiation protocol here because the option is not open if the player is transferlisted (you can take him from the market to solve the problem). Tried the 91% rule ... The 91% rule applies to A) this season and next contracts, at any point. B) this season and next 2 contracts, but only late in the season. Day 1 of the season, the demands are often much higher. (similar to a 3 season franchise late in the season, which makes sense - same duration essentially) |

Start of the season the 91% rule does not work.
I have a note saying about 79% of the money he DEMANDS, might do it. In your case 80.000.000 -> roughly 64.000.000 The problem with negotiations at season start is, that the system does calculate some progress into the player. That estimated progress can be wrong in terms of your training plans. My guess is, you will have to sell that player, otherwise he will leave at season end. |

In my experience it should be about 54.000 If you take "(2x estimated salary + 1x demanded salary)/3" your on a good way. |

You didn't happen to franchise a guy right before this did you? If so then it could have been negotiating a 4 or 5 year contract?
