I am not sure it is rubbish at all Janos. In any one season 18 Elite teams are in the CoC. The two conference champions from Elite and the 16 promoted teams as 1.1Conference champions. Upon demotion these teams are likely to back in the mix to win 1.1.

If you take 3-10 in a secondary bowl you are basically giving 26 Elite teams a CoC. The demoted Elite will likely fjnish 1-10 after demotion to 1.1 and get back in a Cup.

Effectively the same teams will largely play in the cup most seasons and it will increase the gap between top and bottom of leagues.

I would benefit. I will be 1-10 every season in Thunder and would get extra. I may occassionally get to Elite and miss this cup the following year. However i am with Rock that despite the personal advantage to me overall ita bad for the game.

CoC as a reward for winning leagues as currently is a reward with the participants changing yearly and therefore offers no real long term benefit, this is how it should remain.

I want to make it short.
The relegation rules are different in Elite and lvl1,2 leagues.

If we forget about the Elite conference winners for a moment, there are 16 promoted teams participating in CofC.

In Lvl1 leagues, there are 4-8 promoted, but only 4 is participating from each, as there are the conference winners.

In lvl2 leagues 8 is participating from each.
Compare 4 and 8 to the 16 of Elite...!

Yes, the downside of my idea is, that there are +8 teams getting a chance from Elite to go in a cup. (Earlier I wanted to exclude Elite 3-10 ranked teams, but that's not PC.)

The advantage is, that lvl1 and 2 teams have a better representation and a chance to catch up.

Altogether I accept, that you do not want it, nor Pete.
