What is wrong with the currently active system? It doesn't take fan expectations into consideration. Not all 5-5 teams are equal in terms of fans. Pats fans would be upset at starting a season 5-5 while Browns fans would be happy at 5-5. I think this should be reflected in terms of attendance. |

But if you implement fan expectation into the calculation then you only have part of the equation.
Rivalries always boost attendance. Key games always boost attendance ( ie the do or die game to make playoffs or critical relegation decider) first game of season always sells well. Two bad teams having nightmare seasons who were rivals in a relegation game would draw a full house. |

Sure, it would be awesome if all of these could be taken into consideration as well as any other factor influencing attendance in real life.
That being said right now the only thing taken into consideration to calculate attendance is how many games out of the last 10 you have won. This suggestion is to add one additional factor to the attendance calculation and that factor is fans expectations. Would you agree that adding fan expectations to the current attendance calculation would improve things or not? Or do you see any potential negative impact to implementing this change? If you want to discuss having higher attendance for rivalry games I would support it but please suggest it in another thread as I would like to keep this one about fan expectations if you don't mind, thanks |

What I do think is that if fan expectations are to be introduced then one loss would have little impact but each further loss would reduce attendance a bit more, I am not sure if that's in your proposal but couldn't see it.

But do you agree with having different fans expectations for different teams? That's the first step. Then we can discuss the maths details and if the impact should be linear or not.
Before wanting to change the impact of a second loss I feel like we should agree that the impact of the first loss should not be the same for all teams. For example, Landru and Styrian Bears fans should have much higher expectations than your fans or mine because they make the Elite PO almost every season while you and I have never been there yet. |

yes. When we discussed Elite, I made it very clear there cannot be a single advantage in terms of income from tickets for Elite teams. Therefore the ticket calculation is absolutely equal to 1.1, as the spnsor calculation ispete wrote:

The one financial advantage Elite has is that the managers are organised and work together enough to ensure as close to a maximum return from the media centre as possible.
Of course all those teams who don't make the playoff would more than likely had playoff income in 1.1 so they actually for the most part remain at a disadvantage in Elite. I am not suggesting this is a bad thing btw lol. |
