Ok I don't know if this is allowed so tell me yes or no.
I could buy 1 of your players for 30 million? I would need someone to bid me up until I hit the 30 million mark. But it would help you get out of debt far faster. Obviously it would get taxed etc and you would still be in debt but I don't mind helping out if you are enjoying playing. Plus your name is Hufflepuff and the HP fandom should stick together |

Thanks for the PMs everyone who has sent me one. I'll get back soon. On the plus side, I have my lowest debt in a while, only 28 million! |

Basically...if two or more teams enter a bidwar, and all involved teams are not connected to each other...no, I see no reason to act. It is on every manager himself to decide how to burn money...

If the player worthes 30M that could solve a lot of things for Jenny. But if not that would be a very bad move. Money is the main ressource of the game. The first 3-5 seasons it is super easy to get benefits. But once you get competitive, your salary roll increases, your players retire and need replacement and it is all about breaking even on the season. you will miss those 30M someday if you waste them now.

I have to say that on principle I am against any form of collusion. Would it not be better to establish some sort of common fund from which to give loans to managers in trouble?
This would a) avoid managers in general thinking it is ok to collude on all sorts of things and b) in cases of financial difficulty this would be fair to all. Full marks to Jenny for raising this issue in the forum but there are many managers who have gone by the wayside because they also screwed up their economy. A loan fund would establish a level playing field for all and might help player retention. I will put on record that I would be happy to contribute to such a fund. |

I'd agree. Permitting any sort of collusion seems like a slippery slope. There is no way to really ensure its not the same person with two accounts. Probably not in the particular case, but for future cases, this will set a precedent that Pete is ok with teams pooling cash... Or if a team is leaving the game, it can just give all its money to a friend's team.
Its nice that folks asked, but it would have been better if Pete didn't have to make a public comment... I do think its bad to completely lose young teams from the game due to financial difficulty. Jack's idea has merit. Or even a loan system that would keep teams from losing players (but still not able to sign new players). |

I'd probably agree with a loan system providing there's no interest on the loan and if one manager leaves the game the money re-sets, so no one can get a loan then leave to take a competitors money or get a loan then never have to pay it back. Sorry if there's something obvious i've not thought about here

You guys got the morale side of the topic well, but you failed for the technical one...
If ONE team likes to move money to another, it will fail. No bid war (aka 3 teams involved in an auction at least) - no money transfer. If ONE manager creates two or more teams he will have to do a sophisticated job and will have to take care. Most of such transaction attempts fail due the anti cheating measures in the background. However, if such transfers happen, they happen. I cannot forbid what I cannot control... So, if nathanial and another manager enter a bid war on one of Jennys players, I cannot not do anything against it.... |

For the loan system: any system collecting money to buy mnagers out from bankruptcy is a mistake from the beginning. People will start building upon it from the moment we introduce it. Promised!
