I always have 2. A starter and a future starter. The starter plays league games and big SC games. The future starter plays minor games and trains.

I assumed the original post was about in game usage rather than roster. I have 3 on the roster (one developmental). Using 2 in game right now.

It's not completely related but has overlap. Q was: what is better, playing 1 QB or 1 QBs in a game.

See thread I started here: QB stats (read: skills) & effectiveness

And conclusion of my experiment (with very small sample size) here: one good QB, one bad QB, equal snaps, no difference.

I'd be interested in seeing how much of a drop off there is between playing 1 QB all game or rotating 2 or 3 of them.

The RZA All-Stars could help measure that since they rotate 3 QBs.

I think it depends upon how good your QBs are. From day 1 I have played with 2 QBs who were close in skills I trained them both up to 50 in 3 skills. Both had the same experience (I set them both as first string) and there was never a drop off in performance. Obviously effectively playing 50% of a game they suffered less fatigue.

One retired last season so the other is now my only first string QB. However, I have set it so that the back up will play a few snaps if needed (due to fatigue). He also plays all my SC games against Bots or lower division teams. His skills are not yet at 50 but I will train them to 50 since I have enough money to do so.

The 3rd QB is a future prospect. I know my starter is going to retire in the next couple of seasons and this gives me time to develop the 3rd QB. He also gets time in games vs bots.
