Last night I played 'Normal' against the All Stars 'MOTY' and lost 42-38.

Today I got stuffed like a Christmas Turkey 43-17 and was NEVER in the game.

My offence Gameplan is mostly random so appreciate that this may be a little to blame, but overall is this an ELO thing?
I KEEP losing - today against an equal, but frequently against teams (with no dis-respect) I should be beating.

Do you mean you are suspecting the ELO to be a main factor when it comes to deciding the outcomes of games ?

ELO never was and never will be involved in the simulation. ELO is a measure for statistics, not for making decisions at simulation time.

Thanks for the clarification Pete ......... that I really am a terrible coach!

Maybe you should go and listen to the real ELO, athos. It might help you relax and improve your coaching.

Then you will know ELO is a Livin' Thing and All Over The World.

Heh, heh!

I feel a little more DP than ELO - Smoke across the water "a fire in the sky".

But I'll take your kind advice - a two fingered .......... dram of a nightcap to let my frustration fade away and sterilise my wounds.

There may or may not be room for playbook improvement, etc. But sometimes luck is just against you in a game. Been playing 4 years and lost by like 40 points today. Just gotta take your licks.

A lot comes down to luck. I just beat a team 49-28 that I lost to a couple weeks ago 12-24. Same personnel, same play books. An unlucky turn over at the wrong time can be a 14 point swing. One yard can be the difference between 1st down and a punt. Really all you can do is prep your team each week to give them a shot at winning, then roll the dice.
