I lost my whole team, could only draft 3 people, and have as many as 5 starters stuck on the youth team, because weve already promoted too many people. Since Youth Academy players coudlnt possible tip the balance of power in a competitive sense, (for established teams) Again another rule that keeps the rich richer, and prevents closing the talent gap, its bad enough i have bult in losses because im new, not because im bad but JUST becasue im new, this prolongs that process, when i started a month ago i had TWO players with 40+ skills in speed and str, OUT OF FIFTY THREE, i have twice that now on the youth squad, but were trying to improve TOO FAST and thats NOT ALLOWED
ill be back when im allowed to pursue winning again. |

New players already get a big boost and a big head start compared to when most of us started.

Can I actually take this opportunity to praise the work Pete has done to help new users. I started again from scratch playing this and things like the media centre maximum investment for the first weeks go a long way to letting new players build their stadium quickly and still able to buy better players that they first inherit. Not saying I'll be winning the elite league any time soon but things are definitely much improved for new players to the game

I'm new to the game too, but i think there is a way to built a team that can compete on higher levels after a number of seasons. Although... i think the limitation in the number of youth players to promote is a bit akward, because why should i not promote a good youth player if i have one? I think it is for game-balancing, because also elite teams could promote much more good players... (that could be trained faster as in a newbie youth academy) Am i right? The idea was not to allow a team to work based on the youth academy only.
