Hello all,

Giving this thing a go again. Last time so I played long throws didn't work well. I miss the days of the power running game here back in the first 5 or 6 seasons. Anyway, I know that I can read through the change logs but wondered if there is a short synopsis for the last dozen or so seasons for game mechanic changes.

Thanks!

The QB always aims for the first down while throwing, if possible.

Short pass isn't an available option in the PB, but long passes are still considered as very dangerous.

Also, as I said it un another récent thread similar to to this one, sacks are almost always produced by blitzing LBs, DE sacks are getting more and more rare as you are climbing up the leagues.

I know where you are getting this statement from, but its a bit misleading. QB will play ball, which means they want the 1st, but QBs will frequently throw screen passes or short passes that are no where near the first down markers. Just set the QB to "pass" and he will use his best judgement.

Correction: will ALWAYS result in interceptions

No, QBs will throw screen passes and short passes on 1st down without waiting to see if the WR gets open down field. The QB isn't trying to throw for 10 yards on every 1st and 10. That is what is misleading about your statement.

Unless it is after a sack, in which case, it is almost always a 20+ yd completion

I'm somewhat convinced my QB doesn't even try for 1st downs on 3rd...

Oh that happened to me in season 18 or 19, my QB just kept throwing 1 or 2 yards short of first downs. I wish I could tell you how I fixed it but it just suddenly kinda stopped happening so my best guess is that it was just a run of bad luck with RNG
