Henry Anderson to the Jets, for a mid 7th rounder...

Had injury problems but was still a good player on the field. Is Todd Bowles running à 3_4 defense in NY ?

Wow. Browns s e l e c t Anthonio Callaway in the 4th...

Thats a big risk looking at this kids past but if he would have had a clean record he would probably be a first/second round talent.

He can move in with Josh Gordon, what could possibly go wrong there

Colts traded pick #140 and then Seattle took shakem griffin at #141.

Great to see him join his brother, but I would have like to see him in Indy too.

I could sort of imagine that it was a given thing, that shakeem griffin would join his brother in Seattle. However, for a guy missing a hand, he has some quite impressive stats that could fit in anywhere.

Lol the Browns are at it again... Picking the one guy who has the highest risk to be a bust - chances are that he will be just as bad as all the qbs cleveland picked before him

And why is that? The stats say otherwise (number 1 or 2 in all of the qb stats). Like Schrager said: if Mayfield would be 6ft4" there would be no discussion that he would go number 1

It's not about his height, but his character. He has shown a lack of discipline and professionalism on several occasions already, now he is a multi millionaire and is supposed to turn around the worst franchise in sports history (which will continue to to be REALLY bad in the next one to two seasons at least)? I highly doubt that, right now it seems more to me like he will be Johnny Manziel 2.0.

However, I won't be sad if I'm proven wrong, would be great to see him rise up to the challenge.

Baker is nothing like Manziel haha. A 2 time walk on heisman trophy winner who has not only the number 1 all time passer rating but also the number 2. This kid is a winner in every fiber of his body. He is so much better than manziel.

He needs to sort his footwork out. He needs to learn to play from the pocket when it's there . He needs to learn how to read a defense.

He isn't Johnny Manziel though. He was a drinker, a partner, he would skip practise, he got in a lot more trouble, he was a spoilt brat.

I think Mayfield will be a good player just not the best QB in the draft. But hey 1983 saw Elway, Kelly and Marino taken in it. Browns would be happy to take worst of them three.
Just so long as he isn't the Tony Eason or heaven forbid Todd Blackledge!!

And not forgetting Ken O'Brien.

Read an interesting thought process regarding the Browns picks. Chubb could never have been selected as the 4th overall because in the space of 12 months Cleveland couldn't have afforded to pay Garrett Mayfield and Chubb the 100 million dollars plus each will be entitled too as Elite QB/Pass Rushers after their rookie contracts.

Ward may well become a good CB but hes never going to command anything like the money of the others.

Well without seeing what offers were on the table thats impossible to comment on!

Just thought with the scouting they do on these kids and depth of work its a fair point to consider that teams when picking these top prospects also have an eye on the longer term cap costs as well. I would suggest all three are players you would be expecting to earn that mega deal though.

Gregg Williams prefered Ward over Chubb because of the need of a press corner. Wards ability to play this role wasnt the only reason.

Wiliams said he has a video showing Garret get to the QB within 2 steps or less 28 times on a pass rush before the ball comes out. Meaning that they dont cover long enough. With adding Ward they hope to buy Garret and Ogbah, whom williams believes is a rising star, get more chances to get to the QB.

I am interested to watch him play man press against Antonio Brown, AJ Green and some of the other WR1 he will face. I think this is the technique he will struggle the most with in the NFL.

I am interested in seeing these new Browns play. They added some good players in FA and the draft. I am mostly excited about their off with taylor, hyde, chubb,, johnson, njoku, gordon and landry

They also added some good pieces to their def with Ward and the guy from GB (cant remember his name right now). He will gof to FS so peppers can move to SS wich will suit him better I think.
