Which is the most important position to try to fill in with high speed and strength players? Always thought DE was important since they're rushing the passer and stopping the run , but they don't seem to be as important in the pass rushing once you introduce LB blitzing? Do DE really just need more strength similar to a DT then rather than speed?

After DE, I thought the OLB were a good place to put the better physical players but the top team still seem to try to fill these players at CB.

All thoughts welcome!

If they have really high Intelligence LB or QB, other than that it's pretty much up to where they fit in best.

Chapter 4 in Jack's RZA guide Will show you the way!

All positions. I try not to compromise on strength and speed. I make exceptions for OL and will use players with lower speed caps if their strength reaches 47+.

Everyone has there own preferred builds but this is what I like. Speed 50 and strength 43 at OLB, speed 50 strength 45 and intel 50 at MLB, speed 50 and intel +40 at CB, speed 50 at both safety positions, strength at or close to 50 and speed of at least 40 for DE. This is how I like my player builds on defense.
Another good approach is to scout the starters of some of the successful Elite teams to get an idea of what really works.

I think we need to drug test this team. :-)

But I agree with this for the most part. If you're playing in the Elite league or that's your goal, I would recommend 50 Spd for blitzing LBs. For CBs, 50 Spd, 40+ Str and Int as high as you can get. Safeties are just your not so good CBs.

DE I think this a tough one. A lot of people want highest Spd guys at DE, but even then they wouldn't get many sacks. I wonder if you should build them more as runner stoppers instead.

For NT/DT, with the recent flood of free agents on the market, I usually go for 50 Str + a special trait.

Just a little combination of HGH+steroids. I found the formula sitting on a desk when I visited the Russian Olympic Commities facilities a few off seasons ago.
