I have no sources named BB, or McD, or Kraft...that was enough for me not to go harsh on McD and the others. And at the end of the day...the Pats exist to make money. Making money means sometimes to buy a service or person you are in need of...this is why I am fine with it either way...family or money. And, probably it was a little bit of both, I guess i dont have any problem with people making decisions based on money or wanting the best for their family - but you still have to do it the proper way. what about those assistants the Colts already signed with McDs consent, what about their families, their money? they are on the bad side of this deal because McD claims he couldnt talk this over with his family before creating a situation where other people (colleagues he very much respects i guess) took jobs and moved to Indianapolis because of him. (and thats considering I believe that a highly competitive guy who probably works 120 hours+ a week really puts family before his job, career and five times more money (difference between OC and HC salaries) McD was in the driving seat here, other peoples jobs depended on him making this a smooth process. those are the responsibilties of a HC(-candidate) too - you are responsible for other people and their careers. but a sudden change in mind of the old boys BB and Kraft brings him off his chosen path, as is reported. thats just immature - except they made him the "you can take over next season" offer he could not refuse, because Belichik changed his plans. If you remember, what McD did in Denver, this is not a surprise. Now this guy is a red cross on 31 teams in the NFL. All he has done up to now is being great when having -G.O.A.T- and BB at his side. Big Deal. His time in Denver and St. Louis was disastrous for these teams I just realized, after McD went to Denver in 2009, Belichik didnt name an OC, Bill O'Brien was just the QB coach at first. thats when they drafted the great TEs, reinvented their offense and made it an impossible to defend, multi-level beast that was deadly both running and passing (they went 14-2 in 2010). McD certainly is a great OC as we saw on sunday, but there are reasons to think that his influence on the pats offense is not as big as widely believed, with BB being well capable of making the big schematic and strategic moves on that side of the ball too. This is the part that really rubs me the wrong way. I don't see how anyone can take McDaniels at his word anymore. His agent has chosen to no longer represent him and I would hope these coaches that he left in limbo see him for the kind of person he is. |

Makes sense the Niners have the cap room its going to be reset again when Collins signs. Other Agents and Who's heads will be turning this off season. |

Funny how each year top QB's contracts are always "resetting the market", like NFL joirnalists don't know the word "inflation".
Still à too small sample size to make this guy paid better than the likes of Brees, Wilson, Luck, Rivers, Ryan and co (not naming Carr on purpose). Did not said Jimmy G will not "worth" it though, just saying it's too early to assume he's à sure thing at QB. |

The difference this year is that a QB in their prime dont make it to Free Agency. Manning did way Past his best and Brees did coming off a career threatening injury. Collins is the test case this year.
Since FA began there has been a long held belief that QB have been underpaid compared to their importance. Their value largely held in check because they couldn't get free. Collins changes that and hes not even top tier. I would expect a contract of at least 30 mill a year and would not be surprised to see him even pushing 35 mill. I would imagine Rodgers and all will await what happens with baited breath. Brees should be the first to benefit. |

So you mean you are expecting highest paid QB going from 27.5MS a year (Jimmy G) up to 35M$ in just 2 months ?
