I don't know what all the fuss about. Here in Nairn we have had the odd snow shower and a little breeze, but it has been mainly sunny (almost Scottish sunbathing weather).

My opinion is that it's not like we haven't had this type of weather before. what the heck it still is officially winter for another 20 days.
This is from someone who still remembers the 1963 UK winter where it still snowed in some places in July. |

I like cold, crisp weather - it's nice when the sky is blue and the air is still... But 40mph winds shot-blasting your face with frozen ice balls pushes me into grumpy mode. (-14c wind chill here today). We haven't even got any proper soft snow to show for it here in Birmingham either, just a naff thin layer of the dry powdery stuff. |
