Personally, what I would like to see is that even if a player stops logging in, that their team doesn't go bot until season rollover. Their team would continue with their last used depth chart, playbook etc. This may mean non active players make playoffs etc but I think I prefer that to having bots.

The above system would be for 1.1 and elite leagues, in 2.x leagues the current bot system should probably remain, although I think the time period that teams go to bot is too short at the moment.

I like this. Also makes the league more equal.

Example:
Team A plays team B and loses

Team B goes bot

Team C plays team B and wins

Team C gets the wildcard over team A with an equal W/L but a slightly better PF/PA

Focus Guys, Focus! I'm slowly getting tired of reading off topic "rivalry" posts over and over again.

Why do bot teams constantly miss to pick the BPA in drafts?
Why do bot teams have to be that bad that playing against them is a safe W?
Why do a teams Overall Strength drop e.g. from 70% to 39% from one day to another when Bot has taken over a former human managed team?
Why not doing the Overall Strength drop at season rollover?
Why not re-set Bots Overall Strength at season rollover to a leagues avg Overall Strength +3% of theire leagues respective human managed teams?
Why not random bot team's defense play calling?
Why not giving bot teams an at least mediocore skill set that human managers really have to be aware of?

I agree with all of the above. Although people probably want to play in leagues with more humans they definitely want to play more competitive games. In fact chucking them in with the current level of bots gives them automatic promotion and then when they get to 1.1 too quickly they really struggle. Maybe that is why people then leave. Not sure if we have or could even get any stats on that.

I totally agree.
I am exactly in this situation.
I have been playing with RZA since the beginning or the year
I did my homework as suggested by veteran managers (built full stadium, fanshop, coaches ...)

I invested a relative small amount of money in new young players with decent physicall skill and cut more or less 50% of my starting roster.
At the moment as we usually say in Italy my team is "not meat nor fish".
It is strong enough to win against bot of 80:0 and weak enough to lose 0:80 with league 1.1 average teams or strong teams of 2.x

When I started in my conference there were five human teams and now I am alone.
I will win the conference 16:0 and I will be promoted in 1.1
Should I be proud of my throphy? I do non think so.
Result: a quite boring season.

In supercup the situation is slightly better.
I have played four games with human teams at my level.

The next league season my result will be more or less 0:16 relegation in 2.1
I will be proud of facing very strong teams, but without any chance.
Result: a quite boring season.

I think it will take me at least 4 or 5 seasons (1 real year) in order to compete with 1.1 teams.
I do non want to be misunderstood this is the beauty of this game, planning to long term, working hard and try to acheve results

I wonder why passing from 16:0 to 0:16 seasons like a pendulum?
Like everyone I can't wait to play against humans team at my level but in the meanwhile it would be better to play at least with bot teams at my level in order to continue learning and improve.

At the moment one of the more intresting feature to build in RZA, named playbook, in my case is totally unusefull.

If I had be able to write a good playbook maybe I could win 100:0 in 2.1 or lose 0:65 in 1.1?

The only one good news at the moment is that I am making a lot of money.

see you soon !!!

It usually takes this long to gain traction in the game anyway.

If I could do things all over again, I would have focused more on managing my finances and learning about player development. I was so focused on playing games and winning early on that I was constantly in debt and my YA was in shambles.

My advice to new players that want to challenge themselves in games is to sign up for a friendly cup. If you're worried about your player skills, sign up for a power mode cup. I suggest that you do this whether your league is full or not.

I proposed this before, but Pete doesn't want to add more work to the rollover period.

Thanks very much indeed Gnikeoj.
Veteran managers advices are always more than welcome! I appreciate.
