Week 10 saw the last of the bye weeks which gave Balenghi, the Cardinals, The Pirates and the Patriots the opportunity to recharge their batteries and reassess their playbooks. Back to work next week guys.
Cheesehead did not s e l e c t a MOTW for the week or if he did he did not get a response from his manager's question mail in order to publish. If you are selected guys, please respond it is a nice addition to the league forum and it only takes a couple of minutes to reply. Thanks.

In the AC East match up the Jockstraps travelled to New South Wales to face the Crushers, dominating the game both on the ground and in the air to go back to Limerick with a 38-3 win. Notable stat was old man Grisham's understudy FB Dysli ran for 120 yards and 4 TD's. oakbark looks like he has a promising replacement when the old man retires.
In the AC West match up Cougars popped up to Indiana to face Juggernaut and pounded away to a 20 point lead by mid way through the 2nd quarter before Juggernaut pulled back 10 points by the half, including a pick 6. In the 2nd half Cougars continued their domination of the game to go back to Tennessee with a 47-16 win.
It was NC East match up week firstly the Bolts went to Spain to visit Pamplona coming away with a 34-14 win, in which they controlled the clock with the aid of a 3rd down conversion rate of 66% while grinding down Pamplona's defensive line with 56 rushing plays, however when Pamplona score they score on big plays a 91 yarder and a 25 yarder otherwise they would have got anything out of the game.
The other NC East game saw Jinonice beat the Bot DV 98-0.
It was also match up week in the NC North where the Bobble welcomed epics to Queensland and showed that their bye week had refreshed them as their offence racked up 31 points in the 1st half and only allowed epics a FG, then in the second have they hit another 27 points before allowing epics a 2nd FG late on to win 58-6. Whitmire (QB) threw for 305 yards and 5TD's during the game, which also included 2 pick 6's for the Bobble's defence.
The Whalers visited the Frogs in the other game and made it 6 wins in a row with a dominating defensive performance to make it easy for the offence to knock up the points to win 41-6.
In the NC South match up Deflators played host to the Mantis. This was surprisingly a tight game where the defence's protected their end zone with tenacity. The only TD was scored by Deflators in the 6th minute of the 3rd quarter as the rest of the points in the game were scored through FG's. Deflators won 16-6 to record their 8th consecutive win of the season and retake the top position in the division.
The NC West match up saw the Llamas beat the Bot P.G.I. 160-0.
In the other games the Whitings played host to the Miners and must be thankful that the Miners did not take full advantage of the 4 picks they made in the game or the Whitings would not have gained this 33-23 victory. A fumble return for a TD and 2 TD runs by RB Cattaneo were the Whitings only good points.
In Bavaria the Hedgehogs welcome Wild Thangs and with the aid of a 78 yard fumble return took a 10 point lead early in the 2nd quarter. WildThangs got back an FG by the half, then mid way through the 3rd RB Grant ran in a TD for Wold Thangs to tie it up at 10. The 4th quarter saw both defences keep the opposing offences out of FG scoring range and the match went into OT, where the Hedgehogs QB Lorenz picked out TE Moller for a 35 yard TD to win the game 16-10.
The Sultans welcomed the Wolves where the 1st half's points all came from FG's as the Sultans led 9-3 at the half. Early in the 3rd quarter the Wolves scored an FG to make the score 9-6 only for the Sultans to score a TD and a FG during the remainder of the 3rd to lead 19-6. The 4th quarter saw RB Essa of the Sultans really explode into the game with an 80 yard TD run with 9:16 to go which he followed up with a 68 yard TD run with 1:04 to go. Essa's stats for the game were 235 rushing yards and 2 TD's in this 33-6 win for the Sultans.
The Knuckleheads got their first win of the season 72-0 against the Bot Ravens.
The Alligators got over their disappointment against Deflators last week to beat Narann. Neither team could get their running game going so QB's has to use their arms. Doing this can lead to big score and bad plays. This started in Alliators favour as they gained a Pick 6 early in the 2nd quarter and followed it with a 90 yard bomb only to see Narann throw their own 63 yard bomb shortly after, but that did not stop the Alligators getting a 39 yarder to lead 21-10 at the half. Toward the end of the 3rd quarter they extended it to 28-10 and utilised their zonal defence well enough in the 4th to only allow 2 Narann TD's to hold out to win 28-24.
The Machine played host to Xu Da and moved the ball very well both on the ground and in the air. They got out to a 13 point lead early in the 2nd quarter only to have Xu Da get back within 3 points early in the 3rd, however from then on the Machine playbook using both the ground and air game together racked up 30 unanswered points to win 43-10. FB Uhatahi stats were 245 rushing yards and 4 TD's, it should be note that Xu Da's QB still has not thrown an interception this season.

The Green Machine continue their winning ways and face Balenghi next on this crusade for a 16-0 regular season.

Transfer news
Whitings - 1 out for 2.5M
Bolts - 1 out for 500k
Pamplona - 1 in for 11k
Bobble - 1 out for 2.5M

Awesome work Bova.

Wow!! My rookie QB ranked 2nd? Really? Then then he deserves the Rookie of the Year trophy.

After last game I did a Google Drive Spreadsheet with the yardage (Passing - Rushing and Total) from all teams. If you are interested follow the next link:

Wow...Kokomo Mantis are in the bottom third on yardage, but doing well on record. Glad my defense is picking up the slack.

I really enjoy your write-ups. However I have a comment about the quarterback rating. At the end of the day it's great to not throw interceptions but there is a cost-benefit analysis as my dad would say related to throwing interceptions and throwing touchdowns in this game. Take my quarterback for instance yes he throws more interceptions than the people on this list probably but he also throws lots touchdowns. My point is take number one on the list no rudeness intended it's great that he has the highest quarterback rating however he couldn't score hardly any points against my squad. Something to consider.

All games

my guy
923 612 66 6061 6.6 76 td 104.02 18 int
int/attempts=0.019 or 1.9%

Xus guy 383/243 /63/39/121.94 3 int 3337yds
int/attempts 3/383 = 0.0078 or 0.8%

Yes his interceptions per attempt are lower but he also has about half the attemptsanf yards. When analyzing NFL football teams people often look at yards per Point as an important figure.

Simply put more yards usually equals more points. Throwing an interception sometimes gets you the ball back quicker and also create a time of possession advantage. Just some food for thought.

Agree that the write ups are great, real bonus to the Thunder Forums.

As for statistics i don't personally place to much importance on them. It's the interpretation of them that matters.

In Greens example of QB rating its important to understand a lot more than just the numbers. Who did they come against, are they flat track bullies, padding stats against bots and the weaker teams but going missing in the big games.

Perfect example is my QB in to days game. He lit a bot up and padded his stats nicely. That's covering his early season struggles statistically. Now he's consistently grown stronger throughout the season for reasons irrelevant here but his season hasnt been at the level his stats show today. If my schedule included the other two bits he would be ending up as the second coming of Dan Marino.
