I don't know how detrimental the OOP penalty actually is, but I play players out of position in every game because I don't have a FB.

And would you still play another player out of position as FB if you had a FB on your roster?

Good one. With 15 OLs on your roster I would make the same statement

My intention is to only play backups OOP, but I don't have a fully developed roster. I believe the majority of my RBs are on a positive developmental arc and I hope to train them to a certain "before retirement" floor. If my plan is successful, I'll convert them to FB for their final season(s). Until then, I'll continue to play my RBs OOP as FBs.

I'm going to always have a lot of players rostered for my offensive and defensive lines. I believe they're the foundation of any team and I don't ever want to risk being without those types of players. All 4 of my youth promotions this season are OL. The 6 players I will promote next season, 3 are DL and 3 are OL.

Could someone explain to me how tanking helps a team, because I really don't see the benefit. Maybe because I've only been here a year, but I have yet to go through a draft where I didn't get at least two guys I had rated very highly (like first round is in my top 5 and second round is in my top 20). And the TM seems to have very affordable, draft-quality players all season long.

Nope, I've check 5 league games they could have won and this is happening each time, weirdly enough it DOESN'T happen in SuperCup games

I wasn't saying the person you have seen isn't tanking, i mean that it could be difficult for the engine to differentiate between them and someone who has not done this intentionally.
On a different note... Mackems in league 1 next year

LOL, could have been the Pies twice in recent years if we didn't have the right managers in place.
Saying of the day... Have the right manager in place to build their team the right way and get them promoted the right way, I didn't see Rafa play our GK up front once last season

I miss Pavel Srnicek, he was a great keeper/attacking midfielder!

I find it hard to believe that with a roster of 70 teams do not have sufficient players to cover at QB, FB etc.

Technically, you could if you're willing to compromise on certain things. At my QB, WR, and CB positions, I've incorporated players that are lower strength than I'd like. I have so many OL because any players that are slower than my standard, but still strong will be place there, even conversions. I've had former FBs, TEs and DLs fill roles there. I guess it all depends on preference.

Once upon a time ... 1.1 drafts were hard and stuff.
