So are you basically saying that the players skills/non skills would be better than what the wage would suggest? And I'm assuming you're also saying that player fitness would play a part in player training development?

I really like this change. It may affect me negatively depending on the age/ curve of slowing training in the short term as I have a lot of veterans but I think long term its a very good change.

I really hope we see more transactions due this. Players will hit the "i can pay him" threshold earlier, roster structures will change. This means, managers can choose from more "ready built" players if they can afford them...could work...

If I got this right in option A the estimated training progress would be based on the old formular, so steady progress over all seasons, while option B would take the new formular into the calculation.

That would mean that the real progress compared to the estimated in option A would be bigger for younger players and less for older ones.
That would mean you get the younger ones with an HR cheaper compared to the option B and the older ones could get more expensive than in option B.

Because of different training strategies this could be even more, because the old method does estimate some PC training into the mix, while in reality a coach might not train PC at all.

Compared to today both methods will mean a change, but from my point of view it depends hard on the roster setup and negotation routines.

Since the benefit at option A for younger players is much bigger than a possible disadvantage for older players, your last sentence in paragraph 2 is relatively spoken not fully correct.

Says the guy who has all the insights, while I'm stuck with the Yoda-Kadawelsch.

I think I know the answer already ("No"), but would it be possible to cancel existing contracts with this change? For example, I have a franchise contract that is less appealing now because I was counting on him to age better than it looks like he will under the training change
