Yeah and that's fair enough
Is my post above correct though or did I misrepresent the change or misunderstand something? |

I guess the thing is pete wants the HR department to be (now even) more favorable compared to the non-HR system (because it is the more mature football management approach). And he argues it is not unfair to those non-hr-managers since they have a full season to adapt to the HR-scheme. And i think his logic makes sense. |

Before the change HR-Managers had an advantage of $X over non-HR managers when talking about multi-season contracts. This change will make multi-season contracts even more worth it for HR managers while it is not changing anything for non-HR managers ergo the advantage for HR managers is now greater than what it was before this change. on the other hand, at the start of last season, the demand of the players for accepting multi season contracts was raised, so the changes were not always in favor of the HR-managers. Still I do not understand, why a competetive manager does not use HR. just too many advantages using HR and it takes me about an hour to reneg 2 times per season |

Yeah that's a perfectly respectable logic but it's different from the usual route Pete takes when implementing changes. Usually there is no clear "best way to do things" and Pete offers us, as least, 2 equally good management options. In this case we're being pushed to use the HR department.

Oh, this is all true. In terms of the HR department I left the basic plan long time ago, since I want to see all managers using the HR department if they are long enough in RZA active. However, I dislike forcing someone, so I found it would be cool to add more "advantage" to the HR department.
And holly is damn righht: I am still wondering why managers are not using the HR once their roster is going above 60% team strength |

I can only speak for myself, but after 6 years of playing RZA I feel no need to manage my player's salaries one by one and find the idea of having to sign 70 contracts too tedious.

And you can still do that. The "disadvantage" you are trying to put in place is not really an issue for me - since it is outweighted by the advantage of needing to do the contract staff. We stay true to "do as you like"...

Although I do use the HR system I have to agree that it is somewhat tedious. What about a new staff post of HR Manager that would deal with x contracts at a time? To give an example:
The HR Manager function would be a button that you click next to each player. Let's say for the sale of argument that x = 10. You then s e l e c t up to 10 players to offer a new contract. You have the option to offer them all a one year or two year contract and a field to enter a %. So let's say you offer 10 for 2 years at 95% of their asking price. You then get the result that some/all (=y) accepted or did not. Those that did not you can do further negotiations up to the current max of 5. |
