With the changes to improve teams for new players (and hopefully improve player retention) I thought I would throw in an old idea but - with a twist.
The idea is to start all players off with a complete stadium. Why? 1) It is more realistic. The team manager is not likely to take over a team and also be in charge of stadium construction; 2) It is a fairly tedious activity which everyone has to undergo. So why bother making people do it? I know that arguments about money will be raised so my proposal is simple. Start players off with a full stadium but limit the attendance (if you want to control money). Throughout the season crowds begin to slowly grow until the point where the stadium is sold out. This could take more than one season if you like and could be linked to the success of the team. Meanwhile the managers can focus on getting their team set up and making improvements. |

I do not really care about protecting veterans from newbees earning fast money. But I really dislike taking away this part of the game. One of several reasons is the manager rank bound to the number of seats of the stadium...

I really enjoyed the begining part of the game, i wasn't worried about the results as my focus was on setting up the "franchise", without things like the stadium building i'm not sure it would have felt like such a journey and i'd be sad if this was taken away from future managers.

On topic: if this would make a difference for new managers to stay in this game then its a yes for me. And i think it will... kids now a days want everything to be fast and have no pattience. Plug n play as much as possible. I grew up with commodore64 where you had to put a tape in. Rewind it, set the "clock" to 0. Ffwd to lets say 643 and type all kinds of crap to start your game C C: C:/ C:// C://LOAD Something like that haha |
