Here you go with a basic interface.
If you are logged in, you can retrieve gamedata except for friendlies, scrimmages and live/all star challenges - or to put it different: public competitions and friendly cup games can be retrieved https://redzoneaction.org/football/?action=getplaybyplaycsv&matchid=THEMATCHID Example: https://redzoneaction.org/football/?action=getplaybyplaycsv&matchid=100613814 What you will get: "matchid","gametype","gameday","hometeam","awayteam","quarter","clock","offenseonfield","homescore","awayscore","oformation","dformation","homeplayers","awayplayers","play" "100613814","2","2018-06-03 21:00:00","4715","3603","1","900","4715","0","0","","","","","Cointoss won by Kneeling Guinness Drinkers, elects to receive" "100613814","2","2018-06-03 21:00:00","4715","3603","1","900","4715","0","0","","","k:100667520~gl:100632304~gr:100663118~stt1:100694327~stt2:100759282~stt3:100631438~stt4:100708804~stt5:100663068~stt6:100674560~stt7:100701401~stt8:100673776~","krl:100683562~krr:100710547~stbl1:100649006~stbl2:100699620~stbl3:100716977~stbl4:100742495~stbl5:100716995~stbl6:100731854~stbl7:100742454~stbl8:100698258~stbl9:100697207~","Enzo Sperotto (K) kicks the ball for 66, results in a touchback, offense is on the field now, 1 and 10 on own 20" "100613814","2","2018-06-03 21:00:00","4715","3603","1","900","3603","0","0","Pro set","4-4-3","der:100712273~del:100676141~dtr:100631438~dtl:100673776~mlb:100625084~mlb1:100701396~olbr:100663118~olbl:100445067~cbr:100632304~cbl:100679483~fsc:100650734~","otl:100649154~otr:100620375~ogl:100703535~ogr:100703718~oc:100708001~wrl:100708614~wrr:100683562~ter:100724838~hbl:100710547~hbr:100755629~qb:100672170~","1 and 10 to go on own 20, Peer Chestnut (OC) snaps the ball to Cetin Hamm (QB), Paride Britt (HB/L) gets the ball, this seems to be a run over the left end, Paride Britt (HB/L) tackled by Quirino Cazzato (DE/L), forward progress: no gain" You won't get data from games not over (regular gametime) We log the uerying userid, if we find abuse, the banhammer applies. Thank you very much Pete.
I downloaded only the game you linked, it is enough in order to have am example of this kind of statistics. Here the results of your FBs (PlayerID) (Player) (DL Pressure or Blitz) (FB Block Attempts) (Sacks on FB Blok Attempts) (Total Sacks) (Overthrown on FB Block Attempts) (FB Blocks Successful) % Success 100644767 Tino Stäfen 11 10 0 0 3 7 63.64% 100710547 Paride Britt 1 1 0 0 0 1 100.00% 100755629 Kwamie Whyte 6 6 1 1 0 5 83.33% 100767345 Mohammed Swan 6 3 0 0 0 3 50.00% 100777558 Franklyn Garvin 3 3 1 1 1 1 33.33% I crosschecked the results with the Blocking Statistics on the gamecenter and the difference on block attempts is due your FB/TEs blocked 4 times also in rushing plays. Here you can find the same analysis for rushing plays. Can we say that in case of a DL breaks trough or Blitz the FB/TEs blocked successfully if there is no TFL? Source S28 Elite Playoff (Oformation) (DL Pressure or Blitz) (FB-TE Block Attempts) (TFL_on_FB-TE_Block_Attempt) (FB-TE Block Successful) (% Success) Big I formation 8 8 1 7 87.50% Flexbone 10 3 1 2 20.00% Goalline O 22 22 5 17 77.27% I-formation 20 12 5 7 35.00% Pro set 14 7 1 6 42.86% Shotgun 2 WR 121 121 22 99 81.82% Singleback Big 6 6 1 5 83.33% Wishbone 21 6 3 3 14.29% Source Friendly Power Mode (Oformation) (DL Pressure or Blitz) (FB-TE Block Attempts) (TFL_on_FB-TE_Block_Attempt) (FB-TE Block Successful) (% Success) Big I formation 36 36 6 30 83.33% Flexbone 14 8 2 6 42.86% Goalline O 7 7 1 6 85.71% I-formation 30 24 4 20 66.67% Pro set 27 14 2 12 44.44% Shotgun 2 WR 150 150 28 122 81.33% Singleback Big 3 3 1 2 66.67% Wishbone 27 10 1 9 33.33% SB Spread is excluded because there are no FB nor TE SG4W is excluded because there are no TE and the FB is the ball carrier. In rushing plays despite have at disposal the list of the player on the field it is not possible going deeper. In fact in this case for a missing block the guilty could be the FB or the TE or one of the two TE depending of the offensive formation in place. Consider All the statistics I provided as an example because I used a base of only 12 games (S28 Elite playoff) and 11 games of FC in Power mode more or less 3800 plays. I do not want to bother you anymore, if you think that in some way new statistics can be useful for you and RZA you have just to ask and I can try to process them. If you are interested I can also send you the Access database and the code I wrote. thanks again pj |

Even if the FB/TE miss their blocks it does not mean the DL was successful in tackling for loss, since he could miss his tackle as well. Did I undertsand you wrong? |

this is true
"Even if the FB/TE miss their blocks it does not mean the DL was successful in tackling for loss" In fact I have counted the FB/TE block as missed only if a TFL happened. To be honest also in this case it is not fully true because the defensive man who made the TFL could not be the one the TE/FB missed to block |

Yes...and we do not have this information in the database, it is just a live decision at simetime, "use it, forget it".

Only this count in the evaluation of he back block efficiency. I left the offensive formations because I supposed your goal is find the better defensive formation vs offense. You can easily cancel the offense column and regrouping the numbers if I am wrong. I know the base is only 11 games and so this in only a raw result. I will collect more games and provide a new number I hope in the near future Feel free to ask other statistics. regards pj |
