Here is my worry:
I have an important game coming up. I make time to watch it live. Its a playoff game. Equal chances. Im excited. My QB gets hurt in the 2nd quarter. I lose because of the injury.
Realistic?? Sure.
Fun?? not at all. Only frustration.

It does not have to happen to you only. It could happen to your opponent too. Also nobody would ever know if the loss/win comesdu to the injury only or not.

I also agree to the other comments. This can be a way to oblige managers to have some depth in their team. That would mean a more expensive roster which will oblige managers in the long run to make some strategic choices in the squad building.

Also, if you go toward this direction, Pete will probably add an upside. He recalled it recently: to keep the game balanced, any upside must come with a downside. I assume a new downside would come with an upside too.

So I voted YES as it goes in the rigth direction.

But after thinking it twice, the best improvement would be adding injuries that would last from 1 play to the rest of the game with a randomness or even better a probability formula (including physical condition before game?).

"Coaches Assisteant"? Never heard of. Do you mean the "Hinweise" on top of the screen, right next to the "Credits" field? I never check that infos. Am I the only one who constantly misses polls? PM would be nice if not too much work around for you, Pete. Thx and sry 4 off-topic.

Hm, based on the usual poll results most of the managers seem to find polls during the 2 or 3 days I am running such polls

Voted yes.

Maybe the rate of game ending injury should (along with other factors already mentioned in this thread) vary depending on the position played.

My ranking from most to least game ending injuries would be something like:

CB/SF
LB
RB/FB
OL/DL
TE/WR
QB
P
K

I guess there probably aren't any real life stats to refer to, but this is my general recollection from watching many years of the NFL.

And to add, also from memory a lot of game ending injuries happen on punt/kick returns. From an RZA view, this would force managers to decide if they want to use starters in their kicking/punting game and risk injury, or use back ups and possibly give up more long kick/punt returns - well we only decide who plays on kickoffs, but you get the idea.

Definitely yes.

It would give even more realism to this game.

Absolutely Yes.

People constantly want this game to reflect RL as much as possible...this is RL. Some teams get lucky and barely get any serious injuries all season...some teams get key players wiped out for the season (and beyond) almost week in week out.

Its part of the game IRL and should be part of this game also. It may just also make managers think properly about squad makeups, bench depths and bring some life back to the TM also.
