Really nice win for the Lions which I hope is the blueprint for the rest of the season. Great gameplan, great execution and at last a run game. If it continues it will take the pressure off Matt Stafford.

Hopefully Baker Mayfield gives the Browns O the little extra they need and they will give the rest of the AFC norths a run for their money. Even Colin Cowherd seems to be excited about Baker |

Even Colin Cowherd seems to be excited about Baker I was one of those who thought that Mayfield (and Ward) was the wrong pick for the Browns. I know it's only a very small sample of work to go on but the way the offense responded to him on the field tells me I wad wrong. Not sure if the playoffs are on the cards for the Browns but they'll have a good go at it. After seeing them at Twickenham last season they looked really inept at wide receiver. That has already changed. Last edited on 2018-09-27 09:53:34 by lions1934 |

Week 3 in the books - Some observations
TB: FitziP was on fire for exactly 2 games. Game 3 was a desaster. Before that, a return of J.Winston as the starter was questionable. CLE: Thats it for TyrodT, Baker Mayfield took over. NE: BB/TB - That dynasty seems to be over. GB: In his contract year Clay Mathews speeds up and leads the league with rushing the passer, or what do i miss here, 'oug' instead of 'us'? KC: NFL's future in regard of having more superstar QB caliber looks good. ... open list, free to complement ... Last edited on 2018-09-27 10:14:38 by Mücke |

Dallas: the curious team that didnt take advantage of a starting QB on a rookie contract, and now the once dominant OL is showing some cracks because of injuries. on D they are as thin als always and Marinelli can only do so much with little depth
Giants: you really have to wonder why they took a RB 2nd overall in a draft class with at least 3 potential franchise QBs, when their QB is 37 years old and hasnt been great for a few seasons Last edited on 2018-09-29 21:13:06 by Buddy Ryan |

Ok. That was a messy game by the refs yesterday
Beastmode got robbed. The fumble return of the browns got called back for i dont know what. And then the 1st down that got overrulled with 1.30 to go in the 4th quarter.... how in the world can you overrule without being 100% sure where the ball should be placed. Its impossible to see from that kind of angle. I dont wanna blame the refs for losing against the raiders because the browns had to many turnovers and the D just could stop them. But this was just a bs call. Baker... if this is the kind of bad games he will have then the browns are gonna have a lot of fun |

They felt enough confidence to go a couple of more rounds with Eli. On Barkley: Some players got something you cannot coach. Even with a lower half-life period for RBs, he was still worth to pick at #2, imo. But true, if Giants dont find QB replacement within next 2-3 years this Barkley vs. Darnold & company debate will last for years. |

I think a part of it is also New York is all about NOW, put weapons around Manning to make up for him not being amazing instead of getting a young QB that might take a couple of years to get ready. |
