It seems that a regional Change of Teams is not wanted or does create Problems, so any Suggestion which does not involve a strict up and down inside the regions is from my Point of view unrealistic.

The best Change from my Point of view would be simply having a Relegation game between the bowl loser and the 3rd place Division in elite Team and the winner gets the spot in elite.

By that the bowl winner, seems to be the strongest Team from the Region, gets an instand Promotion and the worst elite Team in each Division gets relegated, while the stongest Team between the bowl-loser and the 3rd place can fight it out. So likely at least the 3 best Teams of each Region get an elite spot, maybe even the best 4.

That game could be played on Saturday before rollover-Sunday, or on Friday before rollover Sunday.

I like this idea instead of doing nothing but this will not change much in number of competitive games per season. All leagues, in terms of competitive games per season, will be the same. A superleague of 16 above Elite will really change something at all levels. The cream of RZA will have 16 supergames per season, the actual 1.1 Bowl participants and the last 2 in actual Elite will create a very competitive Elite league and the teams. And those 1.1 teams who never go up might start to enjoy RZA again by having a fair chance to get promoted....

After thinking about it i like the idea of marina. An der it might be easier to implement than cutting down regions or having a totally different structure.

The more I think of it the more I have the feeling the direction of marinarul’s approach could be a solution. I understand that changing the current structure demands heavy programming which renders it practically impossible. Toi vent a structure on top of Elite could neutralize this effect. Still lots of programming but potentially less that reducing the regions. In a long term the regions could become the “schooling leagues” with a straighter structure on top that has us have more matches on the same level .

I like the idea of the third in each elite division playing relegation against League 1 bowl loser.

Another option to make it more interesting in the lower leagues may be to improve the competitiveness of the bot teams. I think it was a first step to keep the players of the previous owners on the roster and have stronger teams, but it is still very simple to beat them.
If Pete could improve the gameday perfomance of the bot teams, let's say that they have a 25% chance to beat a human team at equal strength, it would help the leagues with many bots and also the supercup. Additionally new teams will get a bit more competion right from the beginning.

I am receiving complaints about bots are too tough already. And no, I do not judge these complaints to be reasonable or not.

Not saying they are too tough right now, but I think it would be quite demotivating if BOTs would beat you too often.

The issue always was that if a team falls BOt during the season with the old weakness of BOTs the remaining games were cupcake games and therefore the league standings got shaken quite a bit by that.

Now they keep the strenght a bit longer, it seems even over seasons, if no new owner is selected, and they stay a bit competitive, which softens that effect a bit.

I would not increase that even more. In fact I would even change the "over seasons" issue.

What kind of manager complains after losing to a BOT?

I would like to make BOTS more competitive, so in Division 1 no weak teams arrive and so many BOTS are not created during the same season. Generally every season 4 managers in my league leave because they have no chance to win even 3 games.

1/ Playoff game between 2nd of League 1 and 3rd of Elite.
2/ Every bot team rated 70 in Elite, 60 in League 1 and 50 in League 2.

From an awesome game, you get an almost perfect one!

No idea how hard it would be to code if ever Pete agrees some day.

If you make bots stronger you lose these managers the season before.

Except if there is a way to index their level on the league they are, like suggested in my previous post.
