How will relegation work between 1.1 and 2.1 once there won't be a 2.2 anymore?
Will we still automatically promote the 2 Bowl participants and offer relegation games to the 2 Conference Championships losers (therefore only relegating 2+2 teams from 1.1 instead of 4+4)? Or will you keep the number of relegated teams from 1.1 at 4 automatically and 4 relegation games meaning that all 4 Conference Championships participants would be automatically promoted and Divisional Round losers would play the relegation games? |

Let me try to rephrase my question, currently in 1.1 the following happens:
- 12 teams make the PO - 12 teams don't make the PO but are guaranteed to stay in 1.1 - 4 teams play a relegation game - 4 teams are automatically relegated Will this stay the same? |

The same amount of teams go down a level. So more teams go up
