From the manual :-

"Starting from Season 25 there are limits on how many players can join the training.
QB: 10
RB: 12,
FB: 10,
WR: 20,
TE: 12,
OL: 20,
DL: 20,
LB: 16,
CB: 16,
SF: 16,
K: 6,
P: 6
Players being within their "free position change" period or academy players are not covered by these limits. If a position group exceeds these limits, the possible training progress is limited to 25% of the full possible training progress. If a training session was limited, you will find notices inside your training report. The possible training restrictions apply for all players of such a position group, inlcuding Academy players."

I notice that the above limits don't include KR or Gunners, can someone explain why ?

just seems to me as though this is basically a loophole where a Manager could have a high coaching points ST coach and then set a whole bunch of players as G or KR to deliberately evade the training restrictions/limits.

Could be, but since almost no manager has a SP coach because almost no one has G or KR as players, most use their defenders and their Rb or FB, the loop hole is very small.

very small ?
just noticed a team with almost 20 KR's.
not what I would call small.
and probably not what was intended when positional training limits were introduced.

Could you come back by via PM please? I would like to learn more about this. Seems this is kind of an exploit, since we have no limits in place for KR and G...urgent. Thanks you.

From season 33 there will be a limit in place for KR and G as well. Details can be found in the manual

I'm not saying this is impossible, but since a ST coach is almost useless, almost nobody does this. Not asking for names, but is that team a new one or a veteran with lots of titles? My guess would be, it's a new one.
The thing is a ST coach has almost no value, because that coach brings almost no pros during the games, since there are almost no plays he can have an influence on. So when choising between a ST coach with maybe 10-15 plays and a SF or RB coach with 70 to 90 plays, the choice is very simple.
Sure, training KR might be nice to have faster training, but that does not help during game time much.

Maybe he has worked out (which I can't be bothered to do to prove or disprove) that a ST coach gets faster training for his YA and so he has sacrificed another coach for this. Anyway Pete has now put a stop to this. So we just need to be on the lookout for the next rules bender!
