Hey yo, ho ho , happy Nikolaus!

Pete,
Today i try to sell this guy Mr. Krause:

A 22yo, 3.5*Exp RB (or make him whatever you like) with

Str: 42.5
Spd: 50
Agi: 42

His best Non-Physicals are
Vis: 20.8
Car: 15.5

Est.Wage: $21k only

I would give him away for $50k, since he's a good fit for young and developing teams.

But, by the engine he was listed with initial "Asking price" of $1.000.000 (!).

btw: An initial asking price not even veterans would consider a buy.

Any ideas Pete?
(i mean, besides: "do your advertisments in another forum" or "hit the 'fire' button" )

He's listed this high because of his agility. I would be interested in starting prices based on an average of the two highest skills in the same way that wages now work.

According to the Manual, Agility is taken into consideration when the salary is calculated at the same level as a non-physical skill. So a high Agility player like a single non-physical skill boosted player will show a high TM value and a salary which new teams should not endeavour to take on.

Personally I will not look at players on the TM that have Agility over the 40 mark as it limits the gentler progression of salary increases for a non-HR team.

The boosted academy that we have now is very helpful if you plan your youths training progression towards a position you require cover for in your main squad, but do not get carried away boosting agility and one non-physical skill too high without considering the secondary non-physical skills your youth requires to become a strong valued member of your main squad in the future.

uhm, sry, no; The question was not "why is the initial asking price that high".

Jonnys second sentence hit the point:

Pete, just wanted to know if you are open for discussions in that regard?

Meaning: The player mentioned above isnt worth the $1m initial asking price set by the engine.

If you make a difference between "open for discussion" and "forcing a change", I am, seriously.

The thing with this discussion for me is: it was the way people want it now. We had to fix it since it was abused badly. And no single suggestion solved the abuse potential yet.

Sure. Ezy.

So:

A) What is your stand point on giving seller's the option to chose between a lower initial asking price and the standard initial asking price?

B) What do you think about calculating the initial asking price as of Jonny's suggestion above?

Another topic that came up within this thread was Free Agents on TM:

C) Would you consider of having FA on TM in a specific time frame only?
(eg. FA during off-season only, and/or FA during mid-season only (mid-season=between week 5-9 for instance)?

A) I made no final decision on that one for myself
B) I did not spend a minute on it so far, time issues on my side
C) No, it sounds wrong for me.

Turning to you Pete in a similar way as Mücke...

We see, that several managers omit training as there is no demand on the market.

Do you plan to consider decreasing player supply in order to find balance on the market?
I mean less YA transfers to senior squad and less training slots for AC's?

No, I did consider this so far.
