and it's not always "seems to"
From my last night league match "Lucas Lima (OLB/L) goes for the blitz" |

I have found "goes for the blitz" only in running plays.
Can you check? In running plays the blitz is against the ball carrier or always towards the QB? In other words blitzing in running plays means have an LB out of position or he can achieve a TFL? |

Seems to be blitzing is crowding the line. Not necessarily blitzing. My team's MLB showed "Seems to be blitzing" and creamed the opposing QB for an 11 yard sack. So sometimes, they do actually blitz. I totally agree. I watch the Packers and against the Seahawks and on a 3rd down (I believe) Seahawks moved three line backers up to right behind their D line. Looks like all out blitz right? The ball was snapped and immediately all three LBs dropped back into coverage. Two seconds after the snap Rodgers could have easily thrown a pick to that same LB who was opposite him just a mere two seconds ago... EDIT: course he didn't because....well...he's Rodgers Last edited on 2018-11-29 11:43:56 by Cheesehead |

I know how real football works, I have seen LB's fake the blitz and drop back into coverage and make an interception and I have seen them blitz and get a sack. I have also seen the QB avoid the blitz, and throw to an open receiver in the area where the LB vacated for a big gain. What I am asking is; does the game engine allow for this if the correct pass direction is selected in the playbook?
