It's all subjective. You like who you like.
By the bye, that player was ranked 4th on my board. As for me, I took a chance and drafted a young LB. He was originally 21st on my draft board but I moved him up on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he's completely uncapped. I hope he turns into a stud player, but it's way too early to tell. Last edited on 2019-01-17 03:26:36 by dpierce |

Got an old TE with 2nd pick. Not sure he will make the roster (not even sure the 1st pick will make it).
Regarding picks in general. 1st, it is all relative. If you need a specific player and he is not there, it's bad. If he is there, it's good. 2nd, expectations are different from manager to manager. Since I'm an open guy, here is my problem: My YA do produce this season several players with an average of skill points on needed skills of 27. Try to match that in the draft. But it's almost impossible to fill all the needs from YA, so I need at least 1 good pick and for that I need at least some good players on the list. This season this list was very short, for my needed configurations. I realized that I need to change the evaluation process to eventually get better results in preselections. |

My first pick was a nice WR, with Track Star and Ball manager, so he has potential to be a key player down the road. Probably will only play him in Supercup matches this year unless he shows he can handle being a top tier WR early.
Second pick was a great DL with Slippery, and a 4.5 star rating. No caps either, so he could be a key piece of my strong defensive line for many seasons to come. Again, he likely won't see much league action other than against low ranking teams until I gauge his abilities. My third pick somehow landed a 4.5 star LB, though I am already stacked there for now, he could be in a great spot for me in a couple seasons. I am very pleased with my draft picks, first time in forever that I landed potential starters with all my picks. |

My third round pick is a QB with the Strong Arm trait. He was waaayyy down on my list (#63 overall), but he could become a starter...in several seasons.

my 3rd round pick is already on the transfer list, likely will not get much attention.

1st round pick was 19 year old CB with 46 speed capped, so he is up for sale.
2nd round was 19 year old OL with 48 strength capped, so will keep and see how he improves. 3rd round was a 21 year old kicker, so kicked his ass out the door. |

I thought the draft was very poor and haven't put any effort into my picks, just listed all the youngest ones first. They will all (probably) be fired as I got a ton of youngsters already and enough in the YA to keep me busy. I have a plan, maybe even a cunning plan, which will crash and burn, but if you don't try it, you will never know, said the Dalek getting off the dustbin.
