By Pete: during the discussion there was a suggestion to alloew draftees entering the youth academy as well. Should this be done? Please keep in mind: if we do this, all draftees being age of 20 or less would enter the academy - there would not be any choice by the manager to let these draftees enter the senior team directly.
I just found a 20 y/o on the Transfer Market that I liked. But I can't bid on him because I have open spots in my YA. And all the transfer tickets are spoken for or have been used. He would end up getting ousted from the YA at the end of the year. Pete, Is there any way to s e l e c t where a player will go to? Much like the Youth pull buttons that let a manager to choose between the YA and the Team. Maybe the buttons would be on the bidlist? I would even go through a menu to "Welcome a Player to Your Team" Last edited on 2019-03-30 14:43:56 by pete |

Sorry.
We had the discussion before. Kind of an easy fix is to carry some youngsters to fill the gaps, and release them if in need of a spot. Beside that, I was looking into it from a developers point of view a few years ago. I was not finding a solution I liked. |

My solution would be to have a look on the transfer market for some crap youths and sign them to fill YA up and then bid on that player. Cutting them afterwards if needed.

Cutting them afterwards if needed. that only works if the crap player gets taken earlier then the wanted one. If both are taken on same night rollover, it's random as far as I know. |

There is a solution to this. The YA will know if this was a transfered player. If the transfer happened during the last 7 days, you can send him to senior team for free.
Manual adapted soon, change will be online soon |

Manual adapted soon, change will be online soon Is it possible that this could be extended to the draft, so that younger draftees could go in the Youth Academy but could be moved into the main team if the manager wants them to play straight away. This would save newer managers from being penalised for wanting their first draftees in their main team. At the same time it would also remove the disparity for more established managers not being able to train draftees and therefore not choosing to draft them, whereas if they were bought they could receive the additional training, making them far more valuable to a team. |

I dont think this would be right, even I understand your point very well. Draftees are better developed than youth pulls. The result would be real monster players. Should this be done?
