My starting QB (one of two) is on an expiring contract. He's 30 and his franchise contract is done at the end of the season so if I resign him, his salary jumps like 3x to $500k.

I'm thinking of just going with the other younger, cheaper QB, but not sure what to do with this guy.

1. Just let his contract expire.
2. Sell him - - might mean I have to sign him for next season if he doesn't sell quickly. Will he sell at all?
3. Keep him, two QBs are better than one. But that's a big salary bit.

If injury rates get increased like pete is planning on, 2 QB's is mostly a must in my opinion. I currently have 3 myself + 1 in YA.

If you really don't want him I would try to sell and if he doesn't then let the contract expire.

NOTE: I've noticed the older players just don't hardly sell anymore unless they are exceptional.

You must renew the one-year contract only if I don't win the Galaxi Bowl !!!

Where did Pete that the injury rates are increasing?

Think that would make things more realistic - - are we talking in-game injuries or training injuries or both?

In the restructuring the league thread.

He's stated that a couple times that he thinks injury rates in ELITE needs to be noticeably higher and we know when pete gets something in his mind he plays with and implements it.

Okay...I guess I missed that.

I don't know why injury rates should be higher only in that league. Football is football...I think injury rates should be higher across the board.

I think it is right to make injury rates depending on the league level - at least a little bit. More high end games means more pressure means more injuries. And yes, injury rates are too low at all.

I am for more injuries (except for my team) - - I think that would add realism & promote build depth. Any more details on how much more etc.?

So a SuperCup game between and Elite Team and Galaxy team - - which injury rate would that have?

I did not do any deep research, but the Galaxy team would be "no injuries", while the Elite team would have to field staff
