Only 4 games left! An early look at week 14

You've made it!
Congratulations to the following teams for clinching a playoff berth last game day.

Palmas Hunters (11-1)
World Champions (11-1)
Montreal Dragons (11-1)
Vicious Attack Dogs (12-0)

Although you all have not won diddly squat as of yet, you are 4 of 12 teams that will have a shot at winning it all!

A will to win!
Making it this far in the playoff race with only 4 games to go means your staff, coaches, players, and fans have put in a lot of work. And yes, it is a team sport. But some teams season may be hanging in the balance. One loss could mean no playoffs, and managers will then have to resist in making knee-jerking reactions hoping to provide a different outcome next season. Here are 4 players from 2 teams that could help their team pull off upsets, win the close games, and shock the RZA world in the next 4 weeks... all because of a WILL TO WIN.

If Stocazzo (6-6) makes the playoffs it will be because of Demjan Skoryna. The RB has rushed for 846 yards and 10 touchdowns while breaking 36 tackles along the way.

His backfield running mate Tobias Veverka has rushed for 1081 yards with 5 touchdowns and 56 broken tackles. Their QB's have a combined 6 touchdown passes, so these two need to be doing lower leg weightlifting every day, all day to carry this team into the playoffs.

The Amersfoort Alligators (8-4) manager seems pessimistic on how this season will turn out. With a one-game lead in his division, what gives? Must be the less than favorable schedule they have in front of them.

Time for Bakhodyr Ovekov, their stud WR who has 1943 yards, and 17 TD's and 72 broken tackles to call a team meeting and let them know he will personally shoulder the load as "Batman" for the last 4 games. Yes, he will need to assure his teammates that the 48 dropped passes are nothing to worry about as he has contacted Jerry Rice for advice and private workouts.

He should also recruit DL Khambieng Sarit who has 88 tackles, 44 for a loss, 9 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries as his "Robin", to help give the offense more chances to score and also win the time-of-possession. These two could help stage off a late-season collapse and give Alligator County the NC North Trophy.

A Matchup The Whole Thunder 2 League Will Be Watching
World Champions (11-1) vs Palmas Hunters (11-1)

This one could determine the crowning of the AC North, the only AC division that seems to have no clear-cut favorite. The Palmas Hunters lead the all-time matchup between these two managers 2-1. But look closely and you will see that the road team has walked out of the stadium victorious each time!

S 34 Sat 2019-04-20 League Palmas Hunters 36:20 World Champions
S 33 Tue 2019-03-05 League World Champions 13:9 Palmas Hunters
S 33 Sat 2019-01-26 League Palmas Hunters 13:10 World Champions

The Palmas Hunters had a 36-3 lead in their last matchup. Does that mean they have separated themselves completely? Tune into your match-ticker on gameday to find out!

(Also worth watching: Fredericksburg Comanches (10-2) vs Amersfoort Alligators (8-4)

Let's hear from you!
What's your take on the AC North matchup?
Will the Comanches get upset two weeks in a row?
Which opposing player has given your team the most fits?
Which player on your team has the WILL TO Win?

Prepare well Thunder 2, and bring the FIGHT!

Amazing write up mate!

My players highlighted: WR Ovekov is a legit star. DL Sarit is almost there but already delivering the goods indeed.

Ovekov's agent phoned me to inform me that the drops by Ovekov where due to the piss poor passes that were being thrown his way by the, and ahum, I'll quote the agent here: "shit bags you call QBs".

Anyway, re the questions:

What's your take on the AC North matchup? Insanely close but for me meaner D always edges the higher scoring O so my money is on Palmas Hunters!

Will the Comanches get upset two weeks in a row?
I am certainly trying to do so!

Which opposing player has given your team the most fits?
Any QB who had the arm strength to throw it over the head of my safeties, they're so bad

Which player on your team has the WILL TO Win?
For me it is CB Denny Kuit. Overlooked at every stage in his career he kept on plugging away and he is now CB1 in my team!

Great win!
You dominated at that. Looks as if your division will come down to the wire.

Work has been nuts lately so I haven't been able to do my predictions but I should have time to write them up tonight!

Great to see there has still been a lot of activity here!

Two huge games in NC today:

NC East we have Dogs v Bluebombs which will likely be a preview of the conference game.

NC North we have Alligators v Eskimos with the winner clinching a playoff place

Good luck to everyone!

I'm back just in time for this massive game. I would never have guessed I would still be playing for a place in the play offs in the last game of the season. The odds are stacked against be but hell, I'm gonna give it all to win this game!
