I think I just signed the Sean McVay of the RZA world: HC Lucius Robinson

Very expensive though so I hope he's bloody well worth it!

Just checked and I got 210 training points available now

Nice, how many training points did you have before?

So super coaches do exist! Good find and hire.

About 190. He was a 4.5 star EXP and CON 80 CP coach. So the extra 19 CP provides an additional 19 points it seems.

Formula is:
trainingpoints=( ( youthacademy level + 1 ) * 5 ) + (HC CP / 2)

So that makes sense indeed. As I am going for a youth / draft only approach it makes sense to hire the best HC available. I am saving the money not spending on the TM.

I realise now just how long it will take to build a team from scratch from YA / Draft only. Not sure if I will be able to hold on that long. My O line is virtually non-existent for example. So I am toying with the idea of being able to bring in one impact player per position. But that feels like cheating so holding off for now. I also got additional media responsibilities now so that works out ok for now....

The YA generally gives a couple of decent OL a season in my experience.

Interesting, OL (or guys with high strength in generel) are hard to find for me in YA...

4 of my 13 OLs were youth pulls. None were drafted.

OTs:

CARLISLE YOUTH PULL
CERNY £29,888,778
ZEIGLER £6,111,222
BURCHFIELD YOUTH PULL
VANN £10,001

OGs

BUISSON £500,001
BIOBAKU £13,525,223
FENNELL YOUTH PULL
MCCARTHY £2,500,002
POSTON £234,568

OCs

OC 1 MARTI £25,112
OC 2 SCHETT £30,001
OC 3 BEAL YOUTH PULL

Obviously, it makes a difference as to what you are looking for in an OL.

I never really look for traits (maybe I should - I got sacked 10 time last week!!!!)

Int = 36+ for OT.
Str = 48+ for all
Spd = 36 for OT
Int = 42 for OC
Tal = 3.0 for OT

Obviously the higher you think is needed the harder they are to find and the more expensive they can be when you buy them!

CERNY (£29,888,778) is a good OL but I wouldn't pay that much again

Hmm my experience was indeed that O line from YA was quite easy. I had a beast I had to let do due to salary. I got a 50 STR, 4 INT, 20 yr old in Academy now Paul Coopman and my two Daan's in my senior team wit 47.x STR:

Daan Hassink
Daan Visser

They are still not ready to be good linemen but will be in a few seasons. Shame exp is low for them.

@Cheesehead: Do you buy for YA or really just your own ones?

from my own stock.

Now you mention it, that is nice loophole for me. Buy < 20 year players and have them come up via the YA.

I'll create some TM agents to see if anything comes up, thinks for the tip
