Barry Sanders wasn't the first great Lions player or even the first great Lions RB to wear number 20 - Hall of Fame DB Lem Barney wore the number, as did 1978 Heisman trophy winning RB Billy Sims. Sims was Sanders before Sanders was Sanders, and if a 1984 knee injury hadn't ended Sims' career prematurely Barry might never have been a Lion!

Billy Sims should have been the second two-time Heisman winner (after Archie Griffin), and would have been a Hall of Famer himself if not for his injury - he was that good. Sanders, who wore no.21 at Oklahoma State, was offered no.20 as a tribute to Sims.

Sure: not one of the best at his respective position who ever played,

but defnitely one of the last gentleman, that could ball, who left the game:

Jordy Nelson (packers.com/news/wr-jordy-nelson-retires-as-a-packer)

That highlight video, that is included in the packers article, does not even scratch the surface.

Edit: Is he worth considering HOF. What do you think?

Season 17-18 PO Steelers vs. bengals
the next one i'm not sure About the Season but philly vs. Washington where foles and sproles made an excellent game.
Both were very thrilling games, and also the emotions got high on the field.

Great player and no disrespect to him, but HOF? Definitely not. Would probably make the Packers HOF but not the NFLs.

I'm a Packers fan and Jordy is truly one of the greats, but unfortunately i agree, 100% Packers HoF but i'd be shocked if he made it to The HoF.

Hey folks, you all know about Barry Sanders!?

I've got news for you:

Frank Gore is going to break his 2 decades lasting all time rushing yards stat coming season.

You think "not worth mention that"?

Prove me wrong!

yep, and here we go:

Frank cracked the 15.000 rushing yard line last weekend (total: 15.021 yards).

With a little delay of 5 years, Frank is up to tie with Barry Sanders at 15.269 yards in week 9 vs. the Redskins (248 more yards to go while avg 68 ypg in 2019 so far).

Place your bet:

Which week Frank Gore will hit/cross the Barry Sanders rushing yards line?

Wanna participate? Just fill the list below with your name, the week number when Frank beats Barry and the amount of imaginary rza credits you wanna bet.

Name | Week | Bet
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Mücke | 9 | 14 cr

Rien ne va plus is this sunday 6th of October, at 1:00 PM EDT.

Correct called week wins. A Winner gets back his placed imaginary rza credits + proportion (1/number of managers who won) of the remaining jackpot (summary of looser's placed bets).

(side-note: "imaginary rza credits" turn into "real rza credits" once Pete gives his overall 'OK' to this little bet game and can make sure credit transfer in the aftermath).

Aunt Edit (6th of October, at 1:00 PM EDT): Seems i'm going to play with myself. Dont'worry, i'm used to it, my wife often is on business trips.
