I train footwork for most positions eventually. Catching for CB, LB and safety. DL blocking, OL tacking.

The DL and OL ones are usually after I have maxed out their primary skills, or at least maxed in the sense of the wages i can afford to pay.

I think Footwork is important for Linemen...not sure...have it pretty low for everyone else.

RBs can catch in RZA.
So I'm used to training CATching for RBs.
I won't tell about the progress per u p d a t e (they have to train CAT so they train CAT, not matter the progress). Though, one has gained +11,9 (ACA & Senior).

WRs need CARrying, so they train CAR (a WR +13,6).

My LBs, CBs and SFs also train CAT (a LB +14,2, a CB +7,9, a SF +8,2)

My K and P do train footwork because they need good feet to kick the ball.

Players need footwork to avoid tackles/blocks or to make tackles/blocks so important for all players.
Catching good for defenders to make interceptions and WR/TE/RB to catch passes.
Carrying good for all players who make a catch/int for distance afterwards and also QB so they don't fumble so much.

The Manual wrote:Footwork is the skill to determine how stable a guy is on his feet. Tackles and Blocks at the LOS are well supported by footwork. Tackles besides the ones on the LOS might benefit from Footwork, too.

Manual doesn't really imply footwork helps breaking/avoiding tackles ... I did once convert an OL -> FB (on my old team, not the current incarnation), and didn't notice his tackle breaking to be noticeably higher with ~30 Ftw. So if it does help breaking tackles, I would say it's a very low contribution overall.

Good find, thanks for this. I have often wondered but never fully implemented other than a spare week here or there.

RAC would be a great additional statistic in my opinion.

4;

Also just playing the game and working w/ lots of players;

You could bid up all of my inter-club free agent transfers and I will always net lose money regardless; also all clubs use all 20 staff including scouts so the teams do pay the fees for scouting.

One of the four is also an ironic team that has a certain profile of irony in it's nature and how I run the club; made it for being a "dump team" for my youth pulls and meant to have all 70+22 roster of Manx and Scandinavians as well as Viking named players as well; they also don't play away Friendly matches outside of Scandinavia.
