So writing something for another post made me think.... What sort of things do managers do for their RZA team which is not on the RZA website?

What do I mean by this? Well, for example I do the following:

I have a colour coded draft spreadsheet with physical, non physical and combined Int/ TW totals so I can order the most talented.

I also keep a spreadsheet of regular season player records by season and career totals. So I can see that Lionel Houser, a former Lions defensive end still holds the career record of 12 forced fumbles despite retiring at the end of season 32, but Ludovic Prudhomme, another former defensive end who left at the end of season 35 has a season high record of 5.

I like my stats, records and the like.

I used to keep a record of number of run/ pass plays by formation for each game but that got a bit much even for me. lol

I basically download the draft list to sort it how I like it (and to use some formulas for basic sort).

And at the beginning of every a season I download the player list to do some roster analysis for longtime strategy...

My kind of question

1. I have a very elaborate spreadsheet for team management
2. I use my own analyser for game analysis: RZA Analyser v2 (v3 is still officially in development)
3. I use a workflow in above gallery to easily retrieve training results which should result one day in a spreadsheet / other visualisation of historical training data
4. Draft sheet for draft board creation
5. Contract Negotiatons sheet for renewing contracts

Link broken, cheesehead. Sorry, my fault. You should get a shortened one to cover the hashmark breaking the link. bitly or something like this will work.

Sorry again.

Great thread Noodle...

I will prepare for my upcoming payroll by downloading my current players list. Then I:
Remove all academy players
Remove all retiring players (plus any known non-returning players)
Sort by Contract Length
Calculate payroll for all players with contracts beyond the current season
Calculate expected payroll for all players with expiring contracts. Multiply that, by the *percentage amount that you use to renegotiate your player's contracts.
Adding the two totals reveals what my payroll will be at the start of next season. Currently projected at $4,279,152 (approx. $550,000 less then my current payroll). It's good to know where your heading before you get there.

* Once I was able to determine what percentage amout I could resign players to 1 & 2 year contracts, I was able to successfully renegotiated contracts for less then their current contract value.
