After finishing two seasons, I felt that it was a good time to start building my own playbooks...let's just say I was mistaken Now I'm turning to the rest of you for a little help!
I've gotten my offensive playbook mostly figured out, but if you have any suggestions for that feel free to share. The biggest problem is my defensive playbook. It's VERY basic. As in, only four plays type of basic. If I was a coach in real life I would be running a 4-2-5 defense but that's not an option in the playbook. On top of that, I'm unsure of where to start, so this playbook is in the most need for help. Thank you in advance! |

Try to figure out what you would want to do when you are on defense watching the stadium scoreboard...
time, down, to go, distance from goal line, score and thinking whether your opponent is going to pass or rush... But first build a full stadium! In order to win you need good players, they are expensive ... without them a good playbook cannot do much |

Every player has his own speed, but what about acceleration in RZA?
Do the engine take it in account? Is it the same for every player or despite there is not a dedicated skill attribute every player has his own acceleration and the value is obtaines as a combination of other skill values? |

I understand you need good players to beat good teams, but a without a solid gameplan, you're just hoping that your players can overcome the playbook's weaknesses. When I was on the default playbook, shutouts were a common thing for my defense. Now I'm bleeding about 50 points per game. Also, which formations are best for specific situations? Starting to play around with it now that I have some easy games on the schedule. |

You are correct that a good playbook (along with good random luck) can overcome better skilled team. If you want to figure out formations look at a few top teams games and research the formations they employ under what circumstances. You also will need to take into account they mostly have top tier quality players to function with the chosen formation. |

I think your D PB depends on your D roster. Meaning, if you have 11 great players and the backups are rubbish, youd want to go with your top 11 guys as much as possible no matter what the O shows. If backups are as good as or close to the starters, youd want to match CB/SF on WR and LBs on TEs and RBs. After that try to adjust for run, pass and special situation football.
