I think that the Natural Leader trait would be more suited for an MLB than a SF, as the MLB is often the signal-caller of the defense.

Cool trait idea, too. Might be a little overpowered, but kind of cool.

I like the idea of some additional traits. the ones we have are great but how easy or difficult are new ones to implement pete?

if feasible, and a number are suggested that meet petes requirements, fairness, balance etc, but only 2 can be added for example, perhaps we could have votes. im sure lots of ppl have ideas about additional traits.

Just off the top of my head right now:

Powerhouse/ Pass Rusher: DE (or DL if it cant be applied to on field position only) gets 5% bonus to strength and chance to sack the QB when offence calls a passing play.

I like the idea of traits that come with equalling negatives, so in this case a player who gets a bonus in passing plays would get a "penalty" on rushing plays?

I like this as well. However, this creates an issue: if I award a bonus on pass/receive skills, I would lower the rush skills. This means you get a receiver having bad rushing. Rushing is needed after the catch. For me, this is no issue. But I guess our fellow managers think different?

I think it is time for those extra spots for traits. According the manual, there are 2 reserved spaces for future use. Those spots may be filled with traits like this one, with positive and negative aspects. And should be more rare than the ones already implemented.

What do you think guys?

I hadn't thought about that, I was only thinking about defensive guys and the idea that some LB's and DL's are better against passing or rushing compared to the other.

Yes i like this too, it seems fair in some way.

For the pass bonus/ rush penalty, it could be considered that the receiver has managed to get himself in such a tight spot to make the completion that he is tackled soon after. it happens a lot this way in the NFL anyway.

yes this was how I was thinking about it too, but perhaps it would be right to have one O trait and one D trait added or at least equal amounts of each. I'm 100% for a pass rusher type trait though. I think it's needed. Imagine a fearsome pass rusher! I know fearsome is pretty similar but there would be differences.

How about sticky fingers being applied to CB's too? some have great hands and this might make that 1 or 2 in the league stand out as elite corners.

There is already in place this trait for DB:

Long Reach
This player has an exceptional wingspan. The Long Reach ability gives a 5% higher chance to reach the ball on intercepting for CB, SF and LB

is your suggestion different?
