Born out of something I was checking up on recently, i think it would be beneficial to be able to filter by position so we can see the CB with most sacks rather than the player with most sacks for example.

The issue with that is that the position is not reliable. It is set by the manager. If the CB plays SF and make a tackle, it was counted to be done by a CB.

Surely that is the manager's problem if they choose to play people OOP/. Why should others suffer ?

I understand what Pete says to mean that it would skew the stats for all managers. I might be looking at your players, and if you played one out of position and he got higher stats in one category than he would usually in his main position it would be hard to scout etc.

Unless stats by position played can be recorded... or is that me asking for one statto dream too many? lol

It has nothing to do with the OOP but rather with players changing position over the course of their careers... My sack leader in Elite is a CB even though CBs don't get sack in RZA because he played a few seasons at LB before I moved him to CB for his last 2/3 seasons so he is now retired and listed as a CB forever.

Pete, some little JS based helper are out there, that improve interaction with tables, such as filter or sort multiple colums (asc/desc) etc. ... e.g. datatables.net. Maybe worth a look.

Alternatively, what about providing team statistics as downloadable csv file, to enable managers to "do their damn job"

Oh great, this is playing "finish the sentence", right?

Btw (haven't noticed that yet):

By holding down the "SHIFT" key and left-click colums' header, you can order multiple colums (asc/desc) at least in the team's statistics tables.

Thanks Pete!
