I suggest to replace the Champ of Champs Cup by a new competition called "Interregional Challenge" or "Clash of Regions"
8 regions would compete in the format of Friendly Cup with 8 teams (2 groups with 4 teams each, best 2 from each group go into semifinals, then 2 winners play in the final). The regions would consist from the best 21 teams (the number may be different) in the respective region by ELO ranking. So the match between 2 regions would consist from 21 games between their teams and the score would be something like 11-10, 15-6 etc. The suggested competition would involve a half of the RZA managers and could be more interesting tournament than CoC imo. |

Replacing CoC sounds good but I did not like this format so much. In this way only the big teams will have additional games and will earn more money. I think it must be something more inclusive for level 2 teams.
By the way, I liked the ELO Rating qualifying system. The ELO is not used for many things here and must be more used. |

Fully inclusive of all teams would be nice.
So here's an "out there" idea based on the idea that the college system seems to drive everyone crazy and I like forum "discussions" Everyone plays 18 (doesn't have to be 18) other teams that are randomly picked and from those 18 games they end up with a score, 4 teams with the highest score go into the 2 round playoffs. Score will be based on a similar function to how morale after a loss is worked out, I guess, so beating a team with higher ELO than you is worth more than beating an ELO underdog. |

The Supercup is a much more important competition from my POV. Same for league. The CoC seems to have importance only from economical aspects. |

I guess CoC was the most important competition before Elite league was created.

I know this has been discussed before but i'd like to know the main goal of the CoC.
If the idea is to give promoting teams a bit more cash to help bridge the gap then that's fine, i'm behind that, although i'd change it to just the Championship game participants of all D1 & 2 leagues I guess? If the idea is to have a "best of the best" tournament though then I don't think it's fulfilling that goal. Of the top 32 ELO ranked teams 6 of them are in the CoC this season. Of the top 100 teams 18 are in. The 18 Elite teams are currently posting a combined record this season of 95-121, the non-CoC Elite teams are 98-70. (Really sorry if I've worked any of these numbers out incorrectly ) |

COC is the competition of all teams facing a Superbowl. Yep, it was there before Elite was created. And, it different to Supercup. Supercup is the "all teams" tournament. CoC is the all leagues all levels competition for superbowl teams, while Elite is just a certain league of itself.
The goal is to provide these participating CoC teams with some extra money during the following season. Therefore it IS important for that lower league teams. Last edited on 2019-11-11 16:09:22 by pete |

Cool beans What about the idea of just all D1 and D2 Championship teams taking part? The two Elite Bowl participants probably don't need the cash quite so much and it'd get rid of a lot of bots? |
