I hadn't been devoting enough time to keeping up with all the improving teams in fire1. Before, I could get away with just throwing in the same game plan and depth chart near every game. Only making minor changes to the game plan for big games.

We'll now there's a new coach in town. 🙄

Fire 1 just lost three teams (Amy Snowflakes, Berlin Raccoons, and Blue Ripples). It's been a rough time trying to keep the upper division full for quite some time now. Fire 2 just got a new team in DashingtonV. Hopefully he (or she, never know cough cough Hiberno_Celtica) will stick around for a while longer than most new teams.

Maybe some Admirals 2 or Dragons 2 teams could be convinced to transfer regions to make Fire more competitive? Those teams could find homes in a top division if they were to transfer.

I just noticed, though, that Admirals 2 is considerably less populated than I remember it being. I remember that league almost always being 1 or 2 teams away from being full.

Good game Thommy. Glad I was able to hold on against one of the better teams in the league.

I think we would all agree that this forum is dead. Maybe a Fire Friendly Cup would get the forums a bit more active again?

No offense, And I in no way mean to come off as whining or that I'm not enjoying the game, because I actually really enjoy the game. That being said I think I speak for many or at least at one time because many have quit ,when I say there isnt to much to exactly "pow wow" about with the "fellas" When we havent been introduced to any of the Fire league members who have been here for some time.

A lot of us joined the site and were basicly given a nice easy league to learn the game, how things work, basic navigation and team management from a few forums here and there but mainly it was the slow pace of the league (Fire 2, ect..) that was enjoyable because as almost everything you read here at RZA instructs you to one overall & repeated method and that is START SLOW! -BUILD OVER TIME!- LONG TERM DYNASTY! Are a few of the recurring instructions on how to build and maintain a successful career and Franchise here.

I dont think anyone would argue that those points are valid. If you have any prior MMORPG in Dynasty building at all one can catch on pretty quick. Buuuut then league end comes and now all the sudden ready or not you're now thrust head first into a full season long @%# Whoopin day in and day out in a league that we have no business being in yet with people who seem irritated that the competition "Bores" them because they grow tired of stomping a mud hole in into the Bot Flush teams (Again mind you is people you're are grossly mismatched against who are trying to learn a game) Oh and by the way let's all go into the Designated League chat where some of them will surely come to look for some sort of commrodery what with being league mates now and just in case they dont fully understand that there team is still new and awful let's chit chat about how they rather bore us

Hey man, I'm Osta9er. I Run The Power Bolts. New to the league. What's up yall. Hey just letting yall know maybe if yall were to be like "what's up new guys, Rookies, Freshman?( I donno any generic seniority comment will do.) "Welcome! Now dont get dicourage or anything, just going to be honest with ya you guys are going to get wrecked for a while because we've obviously been playing the game longer and that's pretty much just how it's going to be for a while BUT if you guys hang in there... in a few short seasons you can put together a competitive team but you gotta put time in and work at it"

I'd be willing to be if there was some sort of interaction like that with veteran players you might have less turn over and more quality players returning every year. I mean that is the goal is it not? To make each league as competitive as possible?

I just want to say, Again.. I love the game. I'm not complaining about the learning curve or slow start. IN FACT! I love it. So please dont take it as that. Anyways I just saw a couple post and I thought I'd add my two cents. Nice to meet you guys. Hope you dont take this wrong I'm just saying it's not exactly the warmest place for new team. And I also get the side of it that people come and go SO often that sometimes its pointless to learn newbies names. But maybe, at least here in Fire, we could be a bit more progressive with newer players so that ultimately we retain steady competition. Just a thought. If you guys hate what I said I wont say another thing trust me. Definitely not trying to troll. Hope to see yall out there

Welcome aboard Osta9er. I may be one of those senior mangers you speak of. As I stated in a prior post I haven't been as active as I once was but always willing to help others get better, sometimes sending PM after a game when I've noticed something that I think could help that other team. I find a lot of online sims people tend to keep secrets close to their chest.
So here is a shoutout to all less experienced teams that have questions or need help just ask I may not be the most knowledgeable but I'll try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

Thank you Skeetz man that's very big of you buddy and I'm sure alot of people will greatly appreciate that. I think that's really cool of you man. And just so others know helpful hints and things like that are great but some would be more than happy with just like Skeetz said just a message or something. It adds an element of commrodery and sportsmanship that has been lacking . Thanks again man and great to meet you.

Welcome. San Antonio Storm greatly appreciates all teams in this league, looking forward to good competition and good rivalries. As an example, the Storm is LIVING for the day we beat the Tigercats like the proverbial red-headed stepchild. Alas, that day has not yet arrived.

I've been here since joining in Season 31. Making the step up from Fire 2 to Fire 1 was an eye-opener. This season is the first true bellweather roster changeover this team has experienced. Next season, this team will be completely different. So, I might be back in Fire 2 after next season.

I'm still learning. Early on it's easy to get discouraged. For example it really takes 5-6 seasons to have your youth academy working to your advantage. Need to be patient with that. One big mistake I made early on was signing high salary free agents, went bankrupt and was unable to train players for a whole season. Could have been smarter with my HR department, realizing later that there is a lot of strategy to that too.
Again I'm always willing to share hints and tips to the best of my knowledge. Just ask.
