Nice report Badgers!

The nail biter loss dampens any hope of taking the division from the Blues.

On the road tomorrow playing skeetz's TigerCats in the TigerCage. Only lost by 3 at home to him earlier this season. I guess we'll see just how ready the TigerCats are .

Also congrats to the RiverCity Gamblers on sneaking into the Supercup playoffs!

The Hackers pulled Erudite Linstock. Will be an interesting game, I hope. I’m excited for it; this is the first time we’ve made it to the Supercup playoffs.

As I expected, The Storm fall to the Black Dragons, but losing only by 11 is really not that crushing of a defeat. Great job Hackers, taking out an RZA Elite team. Tigercats get a squeaker, but a win is a win. Go FIRE!

That was a game of decisive runs; Hackers jumped out to a 27:0 lead and managed to hold off Linstock. Glad time ran out when it did, otherwise I don’t feel like we had the firepower to keep going much longer. PR Chaser will be a fun game next round. Hopefully the exposure to an Elite team will help us against a Fire team playing a league up.

Congratulations on your big win! Obviously you are not to be taken lightly. Maybe we will get to play each other two more times next season.

I think it would be a stretch to get my team up to Elite next season. There's still a lot of good teams in the upper rungs of Fire 1, and my young team hasn't proven that they can make that deep push into the playoffs. Can't lose hope, though, you never know what might happen

Week 17 Season 37 Report:

Not a hugely exciting or influential gameday today. Lots of blowouts and games that had no playoff implications.

Fire Game of the Day
Not really sure I can nail down any one game as far as the influence on the playoffs. In the NC, the Bonaval Acorns secured a playoff spot with a win or a Bluebombs loss. With the fact that they were going up against the Lyon Eagles, the Acorns relied on a Bluebombs loss to send the Acorns to the playoffs. In the AC, my one-formation playbook got exposed badly by the San Antonio Storm, a loss that shook up the playoff bracket. The TigerCats moved up to the #3 spot and the Hackers dropped to #5. Not happy about the way the team played today.

Nail-Biter of the Day: Andorran Castellers @ Sacko Del Toros.
Another nail-biter game today for the Toros, this time with a favorable ending. The only reason why this would be considered a nail-biter is because it was the closest game in the league today. CaseyL probably started to get a bit nervous when his QB threw a pick-six in the 1st quarter. Luckily for the Toros, the team bounced back nicely, not allowing any more points in the entire game. The Toros controlled the game from there, methodically catching up and eventually securing the 9-point win.

Final Playoff Picture
AC
BoneCrushers 15-1 (East)
Lunatic Purple Cowboys 14-2 (South)
Hainaut Gamecocks 13-3 (North)
TigerCats 13-3 (West)
Green Bay Hackers 12-4 (West)
San Antonio Storm 11-5 (West)
The tough West division proved to be influential in seeding, with the West sending 3 teams but those teams taking up the last 3 playoff spots.
NC
Fargo Knights 16-0 (West)
Watford Hornets 15-1 (East)
Maykop Blues 15-1 (South)
Lyon Eagles 13-3 (North)
Sacko Del Toros 12-4 (South)
Bonaval Acorns 10-6 (North)
The NC seems like the weaker conference this year. Such a great difference between the top teams of the conference led to 3 teams having 15+ wins on the season.

Playoff Prediction: I think that the AC is the stronger conference this year. I predict that the Bowl champion will come from the AC, and I think that will be the BoneCrushers. This is the year that they will get it done and promote up to Elite. I know skeetz time and again has warned that his team is ready, but I'm going to have to see it to believe it. I predict that the Knights will fall to the Crushers in the Bowl, although the Blues have had a nice bounceback season, and could be a surprise in the playoffs. It will be a fun playoff to watch.

Fire 2 update
We've lost Veli Lošinj since the last report, but we've gained 2 more teams in that time as well. Welcome to the region Crusaders and Northeastern Huskies! If you guys ever need anything, we're all happy to answer any of your questions.

Congrats to all teams that have made the Fire playoffs, and also those that are still in the Supercup playoffs. GO FIRE!
