Congratulations to the Bulls and Malones for their first conference championship appearance, and the Aliens for continuing their undefeated season and allowing at least one of my predictions to be correct.
Great game by Garf, nearly knocking me out of the playoffs again. Looking forward to my first game against the Malones even though we came up in the same division in Monarchs 2. Malones took the win and the inaugural Silver pothole trophy with it while the Bulls accepted a win from the tanking Aliens. Good luck to everyone else with offseason stuff. At this rate we will only have 4 bots in D-1 with only the Minutemen going bot and a number of promising D-2 teams.

Congrats Bulls and Malones. Good luck for the Bowl Game and welcome to Elite league. Your teams are probably not ready for the challenge yet, but you are both new good managers. And you will be able to learn more in 1 Elite season than in 3 league 1 seasons even if there will be many defeats.
I am pretty sure, it will help you longer term. |

Thanks Rufio and LuLuBa. My team certainly wasn't planning on being in Elite next season. Looking forward to the fun challenge, though. Any win will be my best ever and every loss will be an expected shrug, I'm going to call that a win win and not mention my season record. Plus, should be a high draft pick!
Rufio wanted to have the cheapest roster to ever go 0-16 in Elite, but I don't know if anyone else has been able to play in Elite before a supercup playoff game. I hope Pete gets that trophy room up and running so I can prominently display my silver pothole for three more seasons until we meet again. If I have learned one thing in life it's to Never trust a Kraken, so that valuable pothole will be heavily guarded. |

Definitely can shoot for more than 0-16, with an inexpensive team ... just depends how many hours you're willing to spend (waste? lol) on tactics.
Way back in S26, Elite league salaries weren't quite as homogenized as they are now, the average was around $4.1M per, and now it's around $5.2M per. I still think a team could pull off what I did, going 10-6, and staying up with a < $1M salary. The top 30 ranked teams that season, and their % of the average salary in the top 30. Gambler75 wrote:
